Accepting an offer from auction listing
Hi. I do not have offers listed as an option with my auctions. However a buyer reached out to me w an offer anyway and I said I would accept . My question is how do I adjust shipping cost? Buyer presented me w a total he could pay which would include shipping.
Would I end auction early and send him message w private listing , shipping included in the total? And if I say free shipping will ebay still be able to generate Ground Advantage shipping label? Thanks

·1 year agoYesterday, I had a flurry of auctions starting, and predictably I had messages from two buyers wanting to make me an offer.
Most of my auctions had bids within an hour, including the one's that they wanted to make offers on, and all of my auctions have watchers.
One is already above the buyer's offer.
All were priced below past Ebay sales as an opening bid. The one that is above the buyer's offer is above past Ebay sales.
I told each of the buyers that when I list an item at auction, it always goes to completion. I have left money on the table in the past and I resent it more than if it sells for my opening bid.

OP1 year agoOh interesting. Thanks. Yeah next time I receive an offer when I don't have offers accepted in my listing I will pass and let them know they can bid and maybe if there are no bids at end of auction I will re-list w offers enabled. They can go that route if they choose to

Shipping is not negotiable.
If the buyer has an all in price, they have to do the math before making the offer.
Let’s say the item is $50 and shipping is $10. That’s $60. If they are offering $45 all in, they have to make their offer $35.
Shipping is set at $10 and will always be $10.
In addition. If the item has bids, there is no way to accept an offer. Invite the one who offered to join the bidding.

·1 year agoWhat do you mean "no other bidders"?
If this is a current bidder, it will have to run as an auction. It is not possible to accept ANY offers, even if they are a current bidder.
