Accepted an offer - shows waiting on payment - don't understand.
I received an offer which I accepted and now it shows awaiting payment. I also see that I can send an invoice. I just don't understand situation I find myself in, I though buyers had to provide payment information when submitting an offer. Is this common?

·5 months agoWhen you accept an Offer the buyer has 96 hours top pay - with the exception of that Auto Pay that discourages so many bidders.
If you send another invoice, it resets the clock.
So if you sent an invoice after 48 hours, the buyer who still had 48 hours to pay, now has 96 hours to pay.
Hmmm-- doesn't AutoPay only apply to Auctions?
Best Offer on Fixed Price listings allows 96 hours to pay, just like any FP sale, I thought.
And perhaps that's the answer.
Was the item listed as an Auction? Then you accepted an Offer?
So the payment reverted to Best Offer standards.
Maybe?

Do you have it activated to where the buyers have to provide payment information before making an offrer?

OP5 months agoYes, yes I do. That is why I had confusion.
I wonder if it might be different based on higher cost of product being sold.
This particular offer was little over $200

After this many days, Cancel the order citing 'Buyer didn't pay'. Put that deadbeat on your Block Buyer List and relist.
A couple of Unpaid Item strikes will keep that buyer away from many sellers. Take one for the team...

OP5 months agoBuyer was not dead beat - they did pay - was just trying to figure out how they were able to make offer without pre-providing payment details like everyone else. I was thrown off when I got prompted to send an invoice. All worked out fine with order.

·5 months agoAssuming it's still enabled in your settings, was it possible this was a counter-offer to a seller-initiated offer you sent? Those do not follow the same settings, from what I understand.

·5 months agoSend an invoice if you like, but be stingy with those. As is... you can cancel on Day 4 and your offeror will garner an Unpaid Item strike. Know that the 4-Day window resets with every invoice. Good luck.
