Today I received a message from ebay regarding the new Acceptance Scan Rate requirement.
Before introducing such a requirement, ebay should ensure that sellers have access to integrations with all relevant shipping providers. However, this is not the case.
For example, there is no integration with Kazakhstan's national postal operator, Kazpost (Qazpost). If I ship an order using Kazpost and there is no way to upload or obtain a valid carrier acceptance scan through ebay, will my account be penalized or even suspended because ebay does not provide the necessary integration?
You have already blocked one of my accounts due to the "low shipping rates" metric under BBE, solely because I had to cancel two orders to Israel when shipping to the country was unavailable due to the war. You subsequently removed this metric, but my account was never reinstated.
I am concerned that the new Acceptance Scan Rate policy could lead to the same situation: sellers may be penalized for circumstances that are beyond their control and are directly related to limitations in ebay's own system.
I would therefore appreciate a clear answer to the following question:
How can sellers using postal services that are not integrated with ebay comply with the new Acceptance Scan Rate requirement without risking restrictions or suspension of their accounts?
I hope ebay will address this issue before the policy comes into effect rather than penalizing sellers for using legitimate shipping services that ebay itself does not support.
If this issue is not resolved, I believe this policy may force many sellers to reconsider whether continuing to sell on ebay is worthwhile.

·Aug 15, 2026 at 11:50 PMIDK what kind of notice you got today. Would you please post the body of it so we can see it. Make sure you black out any personal info. I ask because this is a policy that has been in place for years and years, decades really. But it would be interesting to see what they are saying to you in case there is something that has recently changed.
International sellers do have more complicated rules to comply with, that is for sure. This just isn't something new. Maybe new to you, but certainly not a new requirement on Ebay.

Under this policy, sellers will be evaluated based on their Acceptance Scan Rate, meaning the percentage of the seller's transactions for which the seller has uploaded a valid carrier acceptance scan ('A-Scan').
Sellers whose Acceptance Scan Rate falls below the required standard may be subject to a range of actions, including, but not limited to: administratively ending or removing listings, holding payouts, adjusting selling limits, enforcing buying or selling restrictions, or suspending or permanently blocking the relevant account(s).

·Aug 16, 2026 at 9:01 PMYes, for international sellers it does appear this is something new. Here in the USA, for us, it has been around for many years. You will need to comply with the new rules to continue to sell on Ebay. Good Luck!
