·3 weeks agoGet a GSTIN: Register online via the official Government of India GST Portal. You will need a PAN, proof of business/home address, and a bank statement.
Get an IEC: Apply online through the DGFT Services Portal. You will need your PAN, a canceled check or bank certificate, and identity proof.
Once you have the active certificates, you must link them to your seller profile:
Go to your My eBay account settings.
Navigate to the Personal Information / Business Information section.
Locate the fields for GSTIN and IEC and enter the details exactly as they appear on your government documents.
All details across eBay, your Payoneer payout account, bank statements, and tax registrations must match exactly (same name, address, and PAN) or the automated systems will reject the verification.
Verification Delay: After entering the details, it generally takes several business days for eBay to verify the codes with government databases and lift the listing restriction.
Support: Because this is an India-specific legal requirement, eBay US or global customer service agents cannot manually bypass it. For localized assistance, reach out directly through the eBay India Export Portal.
