A week to pay for an auction buyer won?
Buyer won an auction on May 4th. I went to "Manage orders awaiting payment" on May 5th in order to send an invoice, I see this message next to the item:
I sent the invoice anyway. Then the buyer messaged they wanted to pay on May 11th!
I don't offer any discounts so I don't know what it means "to redeem any discounts" and why are they given a week to pay for the item? Is there something in my settings that I don't know about that allows a buyer to decide when they will pay?
I will appreciate any help. 🥰

·1 year agoBuyers have 4 days to pay. But every time you send an invoice, you start that time over again. You never really need to send an invoice, as eBay does this and the buyer knows that they need to pay. It is up to you if you want to wait until the 11th.

That's actually pretty funny...I do offer combined shipping but I have NEVER been able to get ebay to combine shipping. I have been selling here for 25+ years and either never have figured out how to set up combined shipping (although heaven knows I have tried often enough) or ebay just fails me. Once in a great while shipping gets combined.
I am constantly giving refunds to buyers who buy two or more items but ebay charges full shipping for each. Probably losing sales, too, when the buyer sees the cost of shipping uncombined.
