"Sue me all you want, but from now on all communication from you will be IN WRITING". Then put them on your block list.

·8 months agoNever ever even respond to a 'buy off line' by email in eBay from a potential buyer.
Just responding to that buyer can cause a problem to the seller.
Certain emails like these can get a seller's account in trouble.
Block the buyer.

It is, per eBay's User Agreement.
eBay can punish the seller who agrees to do that, if the transaction comes to their attention.
Fortunately, if seems the seller (OP) did not agree with the seller's plan or request to buy off eBay.
Let that frustrated "buyer" file a lawsuit, if he's determined to do so.
He will have to pay his county's court filing fee. He will have to prove "breach of contract."
If he includes eBay as a defendant, he'll also learn, to his surprise, that eBay will not participate in any lawsuit, but requires independent judicial arbitration to resolve any legal disputes.
If the seller did everything right, according to the User Agreement, that "buyer" will lose.
OP/Seller -- block that buyer. Add him to your Best Buddies List (Blocked Buyers).
