8 years on eBay and sudden account restriction
Dear eBay Support Team,
I am writing to express my surprise and concern regarding the recent indefinite restriction placed on my account. For the past 8 years, I have operated a reputable and honest business on your platform. During this time, I have consistently maintained high standards of customer service, as evidenced by another positive review I received from a customer today.
To date, I have experienced no issues, returns, or complaints, which makes this sudden restriction particularly perplexing. Given my track record of steady, complaint-free operations, I respectfully request that you take a closer look at my account and allow me to continue to cooperate.
I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to your response.
Best regards,
Roman.
P.S. I use VPN for work to make my traffic safe during the war in Ukraine.
Maybe the reason is VPN? But is using VPN prohibited by eBay policy?

Sorry, I created this topic here out of desperation.

OP2 years agoI have been selling lenses all this time (8 years) and there have been no problems. In addition, many of my colleagues from Ukraine and the former Soviet Union sell vintage lenses and vintage cameras and there are no problems either.
Due to the war in Ukraine, I switched to using a VPN and apparently this was the reason for the restriction of my account. In fact, I have not left Ukraine and live at the same address as specified in the eBay account settings.
If possible, I would like to get a chance to fix this (refuse VPN) and resume sales activity on eBay. I really did not know that using a VPN could lead to account restrictions.

·2 years agoCould it be because you are selling Russian (formerly USSR) made lenses?

I replied to you on the last post:
Yes, VPN's are a no no, not to mention you post your listings as private. That will raise red flags every time. You should try reach out to customer service via this link. Let them know your situation. Good luck:

Give them some time. They usually reply within 24 hours of your message.
I wish you well and a positive outcome.

We're not eBay employees. Sorry, but we're unable to give our prompt attention to this matter.
