78 cent shipping labels ?
Listed some old postcards -- nothing special -- $1.99 each mailed in a standard 1st class letter envelope with a shipping fee of 78 cents. Sold a few and eBay lists the 78 cent shipping charge in the details and bills the customer, but there's no label to print at that rate and no tracking, although they offer a usps ground shipping label which is too expensive to use. What's up with that?

·8 months agoYou are listing as paper ephemera not postcards and that is why you have no ability to specify ESE.

·8 months agoEbay Standard Envelope is available for Patches, Stickers & Decals, Greeting Cards, Seeds, Trading Cards, Coins & Currency, Postcards & Stamps. So you should be able to select it if you are listing Postcards.

·8 months agoIn order to mail postcards with the ebay standard envelope (to get the tracking and the discount), you generally need to have listed it in the postcard category. If you listed the postcard in the category that matched the topic of the picture on the postcard, then that is probably why you aren't getting the option to use the ebay standard envelope.

·8 months agoBecause your postcard listings all say First Class Letter at 78 cents. eBay isn't "listing the shipping charge," you are. If you want $1.99, you have to change that yourself. If you want to be able to print a label with tracking (sort of) for 78 cents, then change First Class Letter to eBay Standard Envelope.

·8 months agoThat 'price' is for you to stick in an envelope and stick a stamp on it. No label. No tracking. You want tracking you have to pay for Ground Advantage at about $4.50 (with label/tracking). That is a USPS thing, not an eBay thing as eBay is simply 'passing on' what the carrier requires.

OP8 months agoThanks. I did get a label and limited tracking for a $1.36 mailing (2 ounces in a standard envelope) but I'm not seeing that option anymore.
