$50 eBay coupon
Hi everyone, I’m wondering if anyone else received an email from eBay stating that they had a $50 eBay coupon “coming soon†as a reward for selling an item. In my case, I received that email on 12/16/25 a few days after selling an item. Now, it is 12/31/25 and I still have not received the coupon from eBay—and there is something I have my eye on that I’d love to use the coupon for. If anyone else received an email promising this coupon, did you ever finally get it? If so, how long did it take to receive? For context, I have all options for communication from eBay turned on and have checked My eBay as well. eBay’s chat agent is not helpful for this matter. Thanks and happy new year to all!

Did you check your https://www.ebay.com/mye/myebay/summary
That's where it will be if/when eBay issues it as a banner at the top of the page (PC, not sure where in the app)
They don't send it in a message.

OP9 months agoHi ferncliff-39, you were correct! That’s exactly where the coupon was. Unfortunately, it was only good for week and expired on Dec. 27. But thanks for the reply, and now I know where to look in the future! 😀

·9 months ago@v6z-24- well that's not good. Don't give up yet for $50 - if you use social media, contact eBay CS that way and ask if they will issue another one. Tell them you didn't know where to look and missed the cutoff. Maybe they're still feeling the holiday spirit.
Did the original email give any clue as to where the coupon would be?
Only use the Private Messaging - do not post your account info publicly.
Give them your User ID, your real name/address/country, the email attached to your account, and explain the issue in detail.
They usually respond in a day or two.

OP9 months agoWow, thanks so much for the helpful advice! I will absolutely try what you suggested. No, the original email gave no clue as to where the coupon would be, it just said that “you’ve got a coupon coming soon.†Since they sent that notification via email I incorrectly assumed that they’d send another email when the coupon was issued. I’ll try privately reaching out to them on X.

They *should* send a confirming email once the coupon is issued, but from what I understand, they never do.

·9 months agoMost things like this would also have a copy in your 'from eBay' folder of Messages. If not it's likely spam/phishing.
If it's legit, whelp sure wish I got one..

OP9 months agoThanks for your help! Yes I was able to find it and it was legit, just unfortunately has already expired. They only gave a week to use it.
