$0.42 Insertion fee
Hello!
Items listed on my Ebay store have started to be charged a $0.42 Insertion fee. I don't understand the criteria for which items it is charged and why. How can I predict which items will be subject to the $0.42 tax in the future?
As far as I understand, I have not exceeded the listing limits (276 / 800 of the monthly limit).
Best regards, Daria

Op is in Ukraine so fees are probably different.

·1 year agoFurther- while the purpose is to encourage you to open a Store, most experienced sellers conclude that until you have ~300 separate listings it is cheaper to pay the 42c than the monthly $25 subscription to a Basic Store which gives you 1000 listings.
To make it more complicated, a Store does have other advantages including slightly lower selling fees, a quarterly coupon for branded shipping supplies, etc.
And Store subscribers often get promotional Free Listings. I've had a 10,000 Free Listings promotion for this account for a couple of years.

·1 year agoAs said, any current listings that roll over the next month count against the 250. Example; if you have 249 that roll over, you add 2 more for 251, the 251st will be charged an insert fee.

eBay gives you listing limits you are allowed to list 800 items and a certain dollar amount.
Free insertion listings are up to 250 listings and have nothing to do with your listing limits. So any listings that go over your free insertion fee will be charged

It shows you have 251 listings right now, so you've used your free 250 listings for this month.
Any new listing or any that renews now, you'll be charged the insertion fee.

·1 year agoListing limits is not the same thing as FREE INSERTIONS.
Everyone gets up to 250 free insertions a month before you are charged a listing fee.

·1 year agoAll sellers without a store subscription get 250 free insertions every month. Every new listing and every remaining listing that renews that month count towards those free insertions. Anything over that will incur an insertion fee at the time you list the item or it reposts automatically.
