🚨 2 Weeks, No Action – Linked Accounts, Retaliation & Copyright Theft Ignored by eBay
Hi everyone,
I need help escalating a serious case that’s been ignored for more than two weeks.
Two eBay accounts appear to be linked, working together to copy my listings, buy items from my store, and post retaliatory negative feedback after I reported them for using my photos and descriptions.
🔹 What Happened
One account copied my Porsche part listings (with visible watermarks) and resold them for higher prices.
The connected buyer account repeatedly purchased those same parts from my store, shipping them to different names and addresses — a clear retail dropshipping pattern.
After I left honest feedback describing the issue, both accounts retaliated with false negatives on my listings.
Then I received phone calls and text messages from someone connected to these accounts, saying they would “remove their feedback if I delete mine.â€
That’s off-platform intimidation, not normal buyer communication.
🔹 Evidence Summary
Same item sold by one account and purchased by the other within 24 hours (documented with screenshots).
Multiple orders shipped to unrelated addresses.
Feedback retaliation immediately after my report.
Dozens of copied listings deleted within 48 hours of being reported.
Off-platform contact attempting to negotiate feedback removal privately.
🔹 Why I’m Posting Here
Despite sending all this evidence to eBay Support (SR# 1-499189438255), I keep receiving copy-paste template replies.
No one has reviewed the screenshots or the messages, and the retaliatory feedbacks remain active.
This is now a confirmed pattern of feedback manipulation and harassment.
Honest sellers shouldn’t be left unprotected after proving a linked account connection.
Please escalate this to Trust & Safety or VeRO for a proper review.
All supporting screenshots and messages are available
Thank you

·10 months agoAll you can do which was pointed out by you that is to file an appeal with Ebay telling them the situation. If nothing has happened for 2 weeks then chances are nothing will happen at all as far as removal. I would then suggest blocking this person and just moving on from the situation. Yes you will get people like this unfortunately in business which is very immature but it happens.

·10 months agoI have received a Message To Seller attached to the payment on my Items Awaiting Shipment screen.
"Please do not include an receipt, invoice or any other paperwork. Thank you"
1) I was paid my asking price.
2) These other sellers had my blessing to dropship my items.
3) I didn't worry about these drop shippers making a profit off my item.
4) I didn't overthink things, start a feud and get negative feedback comments.
5) The return rate for drop shipped items is the same or lower than other orders.

OP10 months agoThat’s adorable — but completely irrelevant to sellers being hit with real orders used for retaliation, linked-account abuse, and harassment.
Glad it worked out for you, though. Some of us just prefer not to be blackmailed into removing feedback.

·10 months agoSo, simple terms. Your parts were selling. You were making money. No issues at hand. THEN you discovered that the person who was buying your parts, PAYING YOU for those parts was also selling them and making money themselves. Instead of getting ebay involved over a clear drop shipping complaint, that is against ebay policy, you chose to Perry Mason them to verify your suspicions. And again, instead of getting ebay involved then, you chose to go to war with them. They accepted your challenge, fought back, and NOW you want ebay to step in.
Ummm, OK. I guess.
Good Luck. 😄

OP10 months agoThis isn’t about listings or images — those were deleted in panic by the same account after being reported.
The issue now is retaliation, harassment, and abusive feedback that should not remain on any seller’s profile.
That’s clear intimidation and retaliation, not buyer experience.
This kind of coordinated manipulation can destroy a seller’s reputation in minutes, and it’s shocking that there’s no effective way to remove obviously abusive feedback like this.
Who should I contact at eBay — Trust & Safety, Feedback Abuse, or another department — to properly review and remove retaliatory feedback when there is documented proof of linked accounts, orders shipped to different names, and direct phone/text threats?

·10 months agoYou are unlikely to get anywhere with the approaches you have considered.
Since the only IP you own on these listings is subject to copyright and you are responsible for enforcing your copyright, you might learn how to generate a DCMA takedown notice and send it to Ebay legal.
Although Ebay will try to get you to use their VeRo program they can not force you to give up your rights under DCMA. and will in most likelihood do something to minimize their risks of being found culpable in an infringement action.

OP10 months agoI appreciate everyone’s feedback here — thank you for taking the time to comment.
To clarify, the negative feedbacks I’m referring to are pure retaliation.
These buyers never actually received or handled the parts — they’re doing retail dropshipping, ordering from my store and having me ship to their own customers under different names and addresses.
The feedbacks were left right after I reported their activity and refused to fulfill further orders.
So, this isn’t about customer dissatisfaction — it’s about abuse and retaliation, which violates eBay’s feedback policy.
Can someone please confirm which department or contact is responsible for reviewing retaliatory feedback from linked accounts?
I’ve already gone through the standard support channels for two weeks, and nothing has been resolved.

·10 months agoWhat you are describing is clearly retail dropshipping and against EBAY rules. But do you really want to get someone who purchases items from you banned?
I had a similar problem years ago with a buyer who purchased all my computer parts and shipped them to his customers. It was a win/win for both of us (I sold my item and he made a little money). As long as he was paying my asking price, I could care less what he did with the items.
Copying photos is also my husband's pet peeve. Unfortunately, EBAY encourages Sellers to copy photos and descriptions by simply clicking on "sell similar".

·10 months ago@gabpartscom
It is no longer against eBay policy for other users to copy a seller’s photos or descriptions, unfortunately.

OP10 months agoThat’s true regarding reused listings, but this case goes far beyond that.
We’re dealing with linked accounts, coordinated feedback manipulation, and off-platform intimidation — not just reused descriptions. The copied listings are a side issue; the real problem is the systematic abuse of eBay’s feedback and buyer policies, which has been ignored for over two weeks.

·10 months ago@gabpartscom -
This is all buyers and sellers like yourself.
eBay is not here -
You need to remove all seller names and phone numbers - please read community guidelines.

OP10 months agoThanks for the reminder — I’ve already edited the post and removed any personal details in full compliance with community guidelines.
I understand this is primarily a peer-to-peer space, but given the seriousness of the issue (feedback retaliation, linked accounts, and harassment), I’m hoping a Community Mentor or eBay Staff member can help ensure this gets properly escalated to Trust & Safety.
Appreciate the clarification — just trying to protect honest sellers and get some real action after two weeks of automated responses.

·10 months agoHow did you give a buyer a negative feedback? That is not possible.

·10 months agoIt appears they left feedback for them as a seller, meaning they have engaged in malicious buying themselves. Left in the past month (cut it off to not show the seller's name):
And the feedback left for the OP does not appear to violate policy, and in fact addresses issues that if true are very deserving of negative feedback.
gabpartscom
OP10 months agoYou’re right — sellers can’t normally leave negative feedback for buyers.
In this case, I purchased an item from them intentionally to verify a suspicion of retail dropshipping using my listings. I wanted to confirm if they could actually fulfill orders themselves. Once the transaction was canceled immediately after purchase, it confirmed my suspicion that they were reselling my parts under another account.

·10 months agoSo you engaged in malicious buying and breaking eBay policy, but want to complain about others breaking policy. Okay.

·10 months agoWhy not just let them buy from you?
I don't understand why you want to make less money and then lash out and violate ebay policy.

·10 months agoCommunity moderators don’t work for eBay and have no access to eBay accounts
eBay staff also doesn’t read nor respond to these posts, if they do they would only instruct you to contact customer service.
Are you blocking those accounts from making further purchases from you? If you aren’t now’s the time to do it. Blocked buyer lists
Unfortunately eBay can’t and won’t stop other sellers from using your images and listing descriptions since they have a policy allowing this activity. https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/listing-policies/images-videos-text-policy?id=4240
It seems you are speculating.
eBay doesn’t “ link accounts†but allows members to have more than one account. Did those buyers have the same name and address? If not, its unlikely they are in cahoots and out to get you.

·7 months agoNot true, after another post on the community an eBay staffer did reach out to me and even arranged a reimburstment which I received a few days later
