STILL no private messaging function here

@devon@ebay Can we please at least get a ballpark estimate of when we'll have private messaging? Considering I haven't observed any other new features/improvements in recent days, it's starting to look like construction is over, and they changed their minds about letting us have a PM function.

      Blacklist of Buyers

Is there a blacklist sellers can share between themselves with bad buyers? Ebay just sided with a buyer in South America who asked for a refund for item not received. Anyone living on this planet knows that items sometimes take months to arrive in countries like Chile, Brasil, etc. So buyer got the full refund but the item arrived a week later. I applied for a revision but Ebay decided the ETA had been crossed and kept the decision even though I didn't set the ETA, they did. So I lost the item, the money and Ebay even pushed it's shitty taxes and fees on me and I ended up with - 45€ for that transaction. So it was the item (a pen worth $200), the money and minus 45€. I contacted the buyer asking him to return the pen but no response. Ebay cleaned everything and it is now impossible for me to do anything else about this. Unless I threaten the man via his instagram which I incidentally found via his address ... I'm not going to do that, obviously, I have much better things to do than to go after a nobody in a third world country, but I want him blacklisted and people to know about "respectable" scammers — buyers with 100% positive feedback who nevertheless pull their tricks when they can. $250 loss + item lost is enough to make me have to ask money from friends to get to the end of the month, so I consider this a serious offence to me, when I did nothing wrong.

Another missing feature on this forum

I am getting very tired of seeing necrothreads revived and reading and writing responses to long gone posters. Add to the missing features on this forum, the automatic closure of threads with signs of old age and dementia. And add to the list of mod functions, manual closure of reported threads.

what would you do, listing when no store

I have (1) closed my store and (2) been listing hard. I am on track to use up my 250 free listings before the end of the month. What would you do, only list the allotted amount or put pedal to the metal and list as much as possible and pay the 35 cents for excess listings? Note that getting a store doesn't solve the problem because I would get zero free auctions and that is my bag now. I list "lots" and only a couple of fixed price things now. The exception is some vintage books I am auctioning singly. I have a whole lot of those but don't want to get a Store just to list those and wait around for who knows how long . My goal is to sell as much as I reasonably can pretty much by the end of this year. I spend most mornings listing and doing the mail then taking off afternoons. Soon I am opening my store to any dealers who might want to come and scan my previously single title books and hopefully buy a lot. I'm only going to ask $1 each and there are dealers who buy books worth as little as $4.

Sending An Offer On A Local Pickup Only Listing

If I have a listing that is local pickup only and eBay gives me the option to send an offer out to buyers, does my local pickup only still qualify? As I don't know who I'm sending an offer out to, would I be forced to ship the item if someone accepted the offer when I don't want to ship it? I could always cancel the order but then I'd risk getting negative feedback. Thanks.

Authenticity Guarantee return lost after delivery to outdated return address - who is responsible?

I recently sold a pair of Adidas shoes for $110 that went through eBay's Authenticity Guarantee. The authentication center determined they were "unable to confirm authenticity," so the sale was canceled and the shoes were returned to me. Unfortunately, the return shipment was sent to my old registration address instead of my current return address. eBay explained that my registration address had not been updated before the buyer completed payment, so that's the address the authentication center used. The package was shipped by OnTrac/LaserShip to the address of my former USPS Post Office (my old PO Box location). According to the delivery photo, the package was left outside the building. I never received it. I immediately opened an investigation with OnTrac, but they closed it and told me to contact the shipper. I then contacted eBay Authenticity Guarantee. Their response was that: The shoes were returned to the registration address on file. Because I voluntarily refunded the buyer, they consider the transaction resolved. They will not open a claim with OnTrac and advised me to work with the carrier. My concern isn't really about which address was used anymore. My concern is that I never got my property back after it left the authentication center. Has anyone experienced something similar?

      Ebay's most handsome seller.
What kind of feedback would you give this seller?

I bought 5 of an item for about $40. This is a new seller with (1) feedback. I like to give new sellers a chance. He messages me and says he doesn't have 5 of the color I ordered and if I would be willing to take 1 in another color. I said no problem. It wasn't really a big deal. The package arrived. Although the items are not really fragile, they were shipped loose in a box with absolutely no packaging whatsoever. They were not damaged but who packages and ships thing this way? I decided to let him know of my dissatisfaction. He replies back calling me a scammer. I guess he thinks I was fishing for a partial refund. What kind of feedback (if any) would you give this seller?

Shipped my items two weeks ago but...

Im using a ebay standard label and I shipped an item two weeks ago. In the ESU it still says "ship by July 1st" Nothing ever updated, the tracking is not working at all. How do I even know if it gets delivered? How do my funds get released with no tracking?

Seeking Advice: Who to contact to remove an automated CBT restriction warning caused by a proven false SNAD?

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice on the best escalation path or specific contact to reach out to regarding an automated Cross-Border Trade (CBT) account restriction warning. I am a cross-border seller, and a recent buyer explicitly misused the return system to avoid paying return shipping. This triggered a Bad Buyer Experience (BBE) ding and generated an automated warning on my dashboard. Here is the exact context: The Claim: A buyer filed a return under "Doesn't match description," explicitly claiming a "Mistake in Manufacturing" because the jacket was too tight. The Reality: The item was manufactured perfectly to the explicit measurement chart provided in our listing. The Admission: The buyer completely ignored our size chart and simply assumed the jacket would match their idea of a generic "international size L." When they realized their sizing assumption was wrong, he selected the SNAD option purely to force a seller-paid return label. In our official eBay messages, he openly admitted to this: "Hi Ive just come home and tried. Its really very tight and not a normal international size L. I cant even close the jacket. All my jackets and coats are size L Im sorry I have to return" "I did not know which reason to choose as its not size L Mr or Mrs Please dont worry Im not going to leave bad feedback or anything. best regards" I fully complied with eBay's policies, accepted the return, and refunded the buyer immediately. However, because my average selling price is high and my transaction volume is relatively low, this single false SNAD claim heavily skewed my Service Metrics. Standard support and the standard CBT appeals email have essentially stated they cannot or will not remove the SNAD defect itself from the backend. Since the defect seems locked in, I want to pivot and appeal the CBT account restriction warning itself. It is incredibly unfair to have my business threatened by an automated system over a documented buyer sizing error where the buyer openly confessed to ignoring the listing metrics and guessing the return reason. My Questions: Is there a higher-level risk/compliance team, a specific email address, or an eBay Community Manager I can contact who has the authority to review these message logs and lift the CBT warning? Has anyone successfully had an automated warning removed while leaving the underlying defect in place by proving the buyer manipulated the system? Any guidance on exactly who to contact next would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! @ebay.com @rebecca@ebay @sarah@ebay @griff@ebay.com @doug@ebay @kyle@ebay @tracie@ebay @dina@ebay @mirains@ebay.com @baadnesen@ebay.com @rhardwick@ebay.com
