Will Inkfrog shutting down affect my current ebay listings?
Hi all...
I am currently using inkfrog for all my 2000 listings on ebay.
If I do nothing will my ebay listings be affected when inkfrog closes?
Will all the pictures remain?
I vaguely remember in the past if I deleted pictures from my inkfrog folder they disappeared on my ebay listing

·3 months agoYour active listings live on eBay, so they won't vanish when InkFrog shuts, but any images or template code hosted on InkFrog's side can go dead and leave gaps in your descriptions. Go through and rehost those images or move to eBay's own picture hosting before the lights go out. Once that's safe you can rebuild your template and bulk lister flow elsewhere, I did mine in 3Dsellers, but the image rehosting is the urgent part.

·5 months agoI used to use Sellers Sourcebook and the photo storage was always a problem. If they messed up on their end, the photos would mess up in my listings. Are they storing your photos?

·5 months agoAre you talking about the Seller Sourcebook TEMPLATES?
That is a different thing than the Listing Images which have to be uploaded to eBay.

·5 months agoYes, I used their templates and the photos were embedded in them and tended to disappear regularly. Thankfully, they still were showing up near the gallery photo too, but it looked weird with all those blank spots in the description area.

·5 months agoAh I see the OP is using Inkfrog templates with the images in the description being hosted by Inkfrog. When they shut down those images will probably disappear.
I see that the OP has stopped using that format in the past week or so.

Your listings will remain but the images embedded in the Description area will probably go away (the result will be a bit messy because broken links will show up in the Description.
There may be a way on Inkfrog to revise your listings to remove the template but keep the basic text description. That would be MUCH easier because to change them on eBay might require manually changing every one of your listings.
Sorry about my first answer, I didn't realize you were using a template with images hosted by a third-party. Not many sellers use that method anymore. I used to years ago but I hosted the images on my own server rather than one controlled by somebody else.

OP5 months agoI see...thank you.
I think I will just sign up for sixbit and they will import all my listings
That way they should be safe

·5 months agoIt should not have any effect on your current active listings or any that you upload prior to the Inkfrog closing date.
The only real change would be that you will have to manage (revise, end etc.) them on eBay rather than Ink=frog.
