·1 year agoYou probably went through this entire section 1
a.) Go to Seller Hub
b.)Tasks
c.) Print Labels and Ship
(shows all sales awaiting shipping)
d.) Click 3 dots on left of that sale (drop down appears)
e.) Click 'Contact Buyer'
2.) Yes, it will take you to messages and that persons name will show on right, with a pane on the left showing the item they purchased, at bottom of this pane- write your message and click the right pointing arrow (hover over this and it says 'send message' so that is what that right arrow is).
Message is now sent.

That's what the new mailing design does. When you get to the page, look down the right column (bottom) where it says "Send Message" Click that to type your message in the box...
You will notice the subject line is already filled in with the item.

OP1 year ago??? There is a 'send message' box on the bottom, but it's not to the buyer, it's in response to the 'sold' email from eBay.

OP1 year agoJust tried that, it seemed to work...my email is showing up in my 'sent' folder, and to my yahoo inbox.

·1 year agoWhy do you need to confirm this buyer's purchase?

OP1 year agoBecause in my over 25 years selling on eBay, I've had a few scammers pretend to be my buyer and have me ship to them, or the buyer says that they didn't order the item(just happened again a few weeks ago...a child in the buyers house ordered the item), or, and other reasons.

·1 year agoFor 25 years, you have ignored the Ebay requirement to ship only to the address in the order.
For 25 years, you have ignored any relevant seller protections, there are a few, and tried to create your own, which adds nothing to the real seller protections.
For 25 years, you have irritated some of your buyers with an unneeded and duplicative message.

OP1 year agoAh, that's a big NO to all three of your statements.
I verify that my buyer's address is correct, so I DO ship to the(verified) address on record.
There are gaps in the 'seller protections' that 'buyers' have used to scam me in the past.
Every single one of my buyers has responded to my request to verify their address, and about 80% has thanked me for 'taking the extra step' to safeguard their purchase.
