When you try to create your first listing on eBay, your listing will be saved as a draft and you will be shown the page to verify your identity and to begin enrollment in eBay's Managed Payments. During that process, it is wise to also select the option to link a checking account for accepting payouts (even though you can defer that step). That checking account will be displayed in your wallet for payouts.
When you return from enrollment, you can list your item from your saved draft. After you sell an item and the buyer pays eBay, eBay will tell you it is time to ship. eBay will hold the money while the item is in transit. When you ship, be sure that tracking is added to your orders page.
A payout for a new seller can experience a 30 day hold, but there are also other reasons for a hold, so read more here:
After eBay has determined the item was delivered and the buyer has not requested a return, you will receive your payout. eBay will use the ACH system to send money to your checking account. eBay will also use that same checking account to withdraw fees or funds for a customer refund. If you want your fees paid from a credit card, you can add that to your wallet and designate it for paying fees.
