@snazzplatypus You do that within the listing. When you create a listing, if you do not see the box to input it, which I believe it is located near where you enter the price, then you need to select the "See pricing options" button, as shown below.
IF that feature is available to you, you will see toggle button to turn it on so it appears on your listing templates.
eBay stopped roll-out of that feature last fall and I do not know if they ever started it back up. I never had it and I still don't. It isn't something I would use anyway. You have to remember, eBay shares very little data with us. They promote the "My cost" feature as if it is benefit for you, when in reality it is another data point they can use to decide what listings get shown and when. It could also help them decide whether there is enough margin for eBay to raise their fees even more. So, no, I won't be sharing my cost data with eBay - ever. There are plenty of other ways you can track that.
