How Do You Restore a Wonder Lister Backup
I'm trying to move to a new computer and I use Wonder Lister. I found how to create a WL backup. But how in the world do you RESTORE it to move over to a new computer?
Missing Turbo Lister more and more!

·1 month agoRO flags on AutoDS-imported listings usually trace back to the source photos and copied brand descriptions, rights owners scan for their own images and trademarked wording, so imported listings are prime targets. Swap in your own photos and rewrite titles and descriptions instead of pulling them straight from the supplier, and steer clear of the brands with known aggressive VeRO programs. When I clean up imported listings I edit them in bulk through 3Dsellers to strip the source images fast, but the real fix is just not reusing the brand's copy verbatim.

·1 year agoI've been having the same problem with restoring my WonderLister database, ever since I replaced my computer after Christmas (end of December 2024). I must have been able to do it the last time I replaced my computer 3 years prior, but not this time. Had the "DB Backups" folder copied from the WonderLister folder within the User Data folder on the old PC to a USB flash drive (and copy/pasted the most recent backup to the new PC's desktop), thought I was following the steps outlined by WL Customer Support, but only got to the point where I could either restore my templates but lose the most recent sold & unsold listings from ebay, or import the most recent sold & unsold listings from eBay but lose the templates and any older listings in the .bak file I was trying to restore. WL Customer Support was willing to try a remote support session -- but this weekend's damp winter weather caused my internet to cut out when the support session was supposed to begin!
Now I'm trying to reconstruct my templates, which you'd think wouldn't be that hard, since I used those templates to create the most recent batch of eBay auction listings. However, WonderLister 3 is a newer version than what I used to have, and has a "GPSR" tab in the Listings Editor that I've never seen before, which is causing error messages making it impossible to save the templates I'm trying to create. I wish I could just get rid of that GPSR tab altogether, or find a minimalistic way to deal with that tab and get on with my listings.
WonderLister's User Guide may not be completely up to date, and the video tutorials are certainly NOT up to date (most of them are the same ones I used when I first switched to WonderLister 7 years ago). There are WonderLister Discussion Boards, but they might be moribund, as "forgot password" or completing the "contact admin" form seems to dump users to the WonderLister website home page. I'd be tempted to switch to another listing tool, but it seems everything else is even more expensive than WL's $5/month for the cheapest tier. (I so miss TurboLister!)
