Audio attachments to listings
Does anyone know if I can add an audio file or recorded attachment to my vinyl record listings so potential buyers will know exactly what they're getting. Thank you guys for answering my very first question previously it was very helpful

·4 years agoLast I checked, no. What I've done is just ask the potential look on youtube. The potential buyer will have to find it themselves.
For certain model trains, I've shown a video of the train running, making sounds, etc.
For records, I find a good visual is all that's needed.
You're probably just making more work, and giving the buyer a chance to open a can of worms.

·1 year agoI sell a lot of rare records by obscure artists/labels. Most the time you can hear on YouTube what the song sounds like, but not the actual quality of the actual copy up for sale. Buyers paying hundreds for one 45 want to know it doesn’t sound like the sleeve was made of sandpaper. I have one right now so obscure even the ARTIST has no copy and there is no mp3/mp4 on YouTube…
Ive got watchers and views who all want to hear it before pulling the trigger.
Since eBay says you can’t put a link to YouTube anyway, I had the same question…
There is a way to do it by eBay standards but it involves having to have your own server and not linking to a 3rd party site.
I am thinking of making the sound bite and noting in the description of the item for those interested in hearing the bite to message me and then emailing a link to them as I am not tech savvy enough to set up a server.
