Error 10001 - New Production Keyset Rate Limited Immediately
I received Production key approval on January 6, 2026 for my application.
However, I'm receiving error 10001 immediately:
"Service call has exceeded the number of times the operation is allowed to be called"
Details:
- API: Finding API (findItemsAdvanced)
- Environment: Production (EBAY-GB)
- Total calls made: Less than 20 test calls over 24 hours
- Error occurs: On every single API call, even the first of the day
Is there a restriction on newly approved Production keysets? My expected
usage is ~240 calls/day (well under the 5,000 daily limit).
Can an eBay staff member please check my keyset status?

UPDATE: Additional diagnostic information
I've tested different API calls and found:
- ✅ getVersion() works successfully (returns version 1.13.0)
- ❌ findItemsByKeywords() returns error 10001
- ❌ findItemsAdvanced() returns error 10001
This confirms:
- My App ID is valid
- API connection works
- Authentication succeeds
- But SEARCH operations are specifically blocked
It appears my Production keyset has restricted permissions that prevent
Finding API searches, even though basic API connectivity works.
Can an eBay staff member please check what permissions/approvals are
missing for Finding API search access?
