Would you report this buyer?
Buyer messaged me that their item is missing its sticker that is clearly shown in the listing's photos. I've never reported a buyer for "false claims" and wondering if it's even worth it or if anyone has seen results in doing that. Any help appreciated.

·3 weeks agoWhy assume by default that this is a scammer? Maybe the sticker actually came off? If your default position is that the buyer is out to get you, I think it says more about you than it does the buyer.

...because when you don't, and they don't, that buyer just goes on to do it to the rest of us.

...but if they have a pattern of this behavior that no one reports...well then you all just let these bad buyers do this to everyone, including me. I don't want everyone else's' problematic customers just the same as you don't want mine.

·Jul 13, 2026 at 10:07 PM@recycleyourself I think that unless the buyer has opened a return, I would ignore them and go about my evening.... if they continue to you message, you can send a brief message directing them to open a return.
Though I shouldn't have to mention this, it really does not matter what is in the listing photos. Should your buyer open an INAD return claiming the sticker is missing, you either send the return label and refund, let them keep it and refund, or allow eBay to step in and refund from your funds.

·Jul 13, 2026 at 10:06 PMThere is a small chance that the recent hot weather caused the sticker to become loose and it fell off. One might expect the buyer to have found it in the packaging material.
Tell the buyer to open a return request for item not returned or damaged.
Reporting is not going to protect you or make this easier to deal with.
It is possible this seller is looking for a partial refund, and many sellers never offer one because honest buyers usually want to keep the item, and not return it.
