Was asked to return wrong item sent by seller and they never refunded me the postage
Ordered a Maytag Lonely Man coffee cup and instead received a couple of shot glasses. The seller asked if I could send those back which I did and sent a copy of the postage paid. The seller said they would refund me the postage and it's been since March and I haven't rec'd a check. I've sent them several emails and even sent a stamped self addressed envelope and asked for cash or a check again and still haven't heard from them. I never did rec'd my Maytag coffee cup. This vendor is such a crook. The vendor is Jean Marie's Vintage. Don't buy from them.

·2 years agoWhen you received the wrong item, you should have gone into your "my eBay purchases" and clicked on "return this item", giving the reason as "not as described". (It was "not as described" because you did not receive the item you purchased.) The seller would have had to issue you a label to return the shot glasses so it would not have cost you anything to return them. Then, when he received them back, he would have had to issue a refund to you. There is no need to communicate with a seller on something like this; just follow the procedures eBay has in place.
Unfortunately, you got a seller who is less than honest and took advantage of an inexperienced buyer.

·2 years agoSorry, you should have got the money up front to pay for the return shipping.
Since you paid it, there's nothing you can do.

·2 years agoALL buyers need to read and understand eBay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers.
When you received the wrong item (shot glasses vs coffee mug), you had 30 days to open an item not as described case. After opening the case, you could have waited 96 hours for a response from the buyer. No response? Then you would have returned to the case and asked eBay to step in. You would have been refunded and told to keep the item.
