Unable to Return an Item
Hello! I initiated a return yesterday and a return label was supposedly sent to my email. I never received it. Today I tried to pull the label from the website and found that I could not. I tried all the possible ways of getting it, but my account/Purchase History simply says that the label was sent to my email and the return is closed. I have already received a refund, but I would like to send the items back/am afraid that I will be charged again if I don't. I cannot seem to contact an agent at all either. If the return is closed then does that mean that I don't need to send the items back? Please help me solve this issue. All I really need is the label. Thank you.

·2 years agoI think that with the refund you have been made whole. Most sellers would not refund without getting the item back unless they didn't want the item back.
Once refunded I don't think the drop down screen works anymore as the transaction is technically closed.
Is it possible an email was sent to you describing the refund and not actually sending you an email with an actual return shipping label?

OP2 years agoHi Trailblazer,
No email was ever sent, not with return info nor with a label. I have a message in my eBay inbox saying that I need to send the items back by Nov 24th, but like you said, no label is available and the return is closed.
I have not attempted to contact the seller. The items sent to me were fraudulent, claiming to be something they are not. And I complained heavily. I wasn't sure I should attempt to go through the seller after that. The label was given by eBay, however the seller does have a free return policy.

·2 years agoIf you received a refund in full from the seller you don't need to return the goods. Make sure you WERE refunded.
When you filed the Item Not As Described you had a money back guarantee on the item so you were made whole by the seller. If ebay had stepped in they would have most likely also refunded you as well and let you keep the item. The seller must not have wanted the item back and chose to refund you and let you keep the item, otherwise you would have been able to print the label. (The seller selects an option that would then generate a refund or a return label.)
If you were refunded in full you don't need to do anything anymore. You can throw out the item or maybe donate it. The seller has no way of charging you anymore. You don't have to contact the seller at all. I was just curious if you had contacted them (perhaps they made an error in how they handled it through messaging).
Someone else may have better info...I try to help...but sometimes....well ya know.....

OP2 years agoThank you so much for trying to help me. If you are confident that I cannot be charged again if the items are not sent back then I am fine, I can donate them.
I was just worried that there would be an issue. Basically what I'm asking is: are you SURE I can't be charged if the items don't arrive back? A label was generated, I saw it, but on my phone (not connected to a printer), and elected to have it sent to my email so that I could print it when I got home. But I never got the email.

·2 years agoThe label (may have) been canceled automatically once you were refunded since there was no use for it.
The seller cannot charge you back if you have been refunded.
As I said though, please just make sure you were actually refunded in full. Then forget about it.
I am a seller and a buyer on ebay. I am sorry this happened to you.

OP2 years agoOk, I will do as you advised. I confirmed with PayPal that I have been fully refunded. And thank you so much for your kind, concerned, quick, and informative replies. You have really helped me today. I wish you the best of luck with all your endeavors.
