Trouble with receiving proper return shipping address as buyer
I want to return car headlights I bought because I changed my mind and ordered a different pair. Upon ordering I received a message from the seller that in case of a return I needed to contact the seller for correct return shipping address because they have a different warehouse for returns. I messaged for return address and they offered to give me a $15 refund and for me to sell the item on my own terms. I don't want to deal with the hassle of trying to resell an item that isn't very easy to sell. I just wanted to receive my refund and be able to return the item. They have since offered a $55 refund and i can resell the item. They have also said that if i return the item to them that the package "may be lost or damaged" during shipping and if item is lost or damaged I won't receive my refund.

It is in their best interest to have the correct address on the label.
Open the Not As Described claim.

Do not communicate with these sleazebags any more. Stick with eBay.

·1 year agoIf the seller has a different address for returns they should have that return address on file for return shipping labels. It sounds more like the seller attempting to string you along past the the date to return.
Open the return, if they do not respond with a shipping label within 4 business days go back to the return to ask eBay to step in.
If that doesn’t work out file a chargeback through the payment source used to purchase the headlights.

·1 year agoI don't remember having to give a customer a label for a remorse return for items that I had listed as 'no returns' or for 'other items' I had listed as "30 day, buyer pays shipping".

Sellers still provide shipping labels for remorse returns ... as long as the listing allows returns. The buyer will be charged return shipping if they use the label. The main purpose of the label is to show buyer the 'return address' ... in case it isn't the same as the return address on the original package.
eBay's return shipping labels are usually way over the actual cost of shipping ... and, as a buyer, I usually purchase my own shipping label from PayPal to ship the item back to eBay for a remorse return.
Buyers need to enter the tracking number into the return request when they purchase their own label ... or else they won't get refunded when the package reaches the seller.
