Tracking shows delivered. Jan 2 Weeks later buyer takes package into USPS and says refused on Jan 17
Hi all this is a new one for me. Sold item day after Christmas. Tracking shows delivered on eBay. A package shows up. today Return to sender REFUSED. Went to USPS site and it says it was delivered to person. Then on 17th it shows refused package twice and returning to seller? What do you do in this case? Its like buyers remorse or away to circumvent a return fee or opening up a return due to they do it alot. We see that the buyer gives negatives a lot. and leaves negative saying seller never reached out to give refund. BUT buyer never contacts the seller. ?? Suggestion? Thanks

·1 year agoYes, my suggestion is to stop babysitting your shipments.
Do nothing unless your buyer contacts you.
At 60 days, sell it again.

OP1 year agoThanks thought that was the plan, but I think this is habitual buyer how they return stuff without consequences. I wanted to report to eBay so that they can look and see if this is the case and help protect fellow sellers. I know most would say just take of yourself and move on but we do not need buyers who do this if you know what I mean. Can find a good response for this situation to report the buyer on reporting. 😞 Thanks for reply appreciate it.

·1 year agoSend a DM to one of eBay's social CS teams: ebay on facebook, ebayforsellers on insta, askebay on X
Outline your concerns and ask them to have the Trust and Safety team review the buyer's account for patterns of abuse. Be specific about their feedback and whatever other flags.

·1 year agoIf/when you receive it, inspect it and confirm all is good, either send a refund less shipping/fees, or contact the buyer and tell them they need to file a formal "changed mind" return request so you can refund through the request.
You do have the option of doing nothing since the buyer's eBay protections are void when they refuse a package, however the buyer can file a payment dispute and force the refund. Better to handle it before it comes to that.
