·1 year agoI bought 3 fake coins one even say copy. ebay said heat the seller would provide a label, so i wait no label. I contact the sellers 10 times asking for a label. The only thing under progress was there was a return label to Santa cruz. I look up their address and i was just going to send it back myself, however the both have Santa Cruz addresses, DP this will cost me 75.00 for each coin I bought two of them. IS EBay really expecting me to pay for return shipping of 75.00 When it did not ship from there? ? They told me that the Seller would provide a way for me to send the items back. But in giant red letters it say i have something to do and than it takes me to the address and says time to ship your products. But I dont have a label......... so I wait and wait . Message sellers 10 times nothing. npot one word from any one. EBay promised this was a safe place for me to shop. I ebay clearly said thet They:seller" will provide a label and a way for me to send back. to there when it did not ship for there. the "Safe Place" How can ebay let a seller ship form usa BUT return to santa cruz???? Im sorry , I just really **bleep** off.

Return an item for a refund | eBay
(Also, do not buy coins on eBay, buy from a reputable coin seller or store. Too many fake coins listed.)

OP2 years agoso sent the item back registered. the item cost me 20 euro to me. shipping it back will cost 12.3 euro.
he said he will pay shipping back.
truthfully I would have kept it EVEN that it was counterfeit. the problem was the item was very stiff on rotation which makes it unusable. I simply cant use it.
auction said one thing, package says the same model number too. but the item, ON THE ITEM itself it says something else. and the item came unsealed.
anyways, I purchased the same item from another vendor in UK who has great feedback and seems like he sells legit.

OP2 years ago"Be sure to send it back by Sep 30."
does this mean it has to arrive to them by then or when I send it out? if I need more time?
because to me it took a few weeks.
pjcdn2005
·2 years agoIt means that it has to be scanned by the carrier by Sept. 30th. It doesn't have to arrive by that time.

·2 years agoHi @likea-2723
You should take that to mean you should ship the item by Sept. 29th. The case will CLOSE some time on 9/30 … but you won’t know exactly when. [It could be at 12:01am ... so you will have to have the tracking number on file before then.]
Once eBay has a record of the item being shipped … you won’t be held responsible for any delays in it reaching the seller. You’ll be refunded even if it gets lost in transit.

·2 years agoIf eBay said that the seller is paying for return shipping then you must have filed a return because the wrong item was sent or the item was not as described? Did the seller ship directly to you or to the freight forwarder in the US? The seller is only responsible for return shipping from the location that they sent the item to.
As another poster stated, an ebay seller can't issue a label through eBay for a buyer in another country. They could send you the money for a label through Paypal or something similar but you would first have to let them know the cost.

-- you already started a return request
-- and the seller has already accepted your return
-- but has told eBay that they cannot issue a return label
Go ahead and start a return request. What was the reason to return?
On eBay you can start another return request, as many times as you need to.
Or instead @likea-2723 now that the seller has stalled your return request, contact eBay at this page to explain that you did not get a prepaid return label.
eBay will put your case on hold to allow the seller to either send cash to pay for a return label or just refund without requiring a return. Or if the seller does neither by the end of the hold, eBay will just force a refund.

A buyer can start only one return request per transaction, not "as many times as you need to" on eBay. It's best that you learn how eBay works, read the eBay Money Back Guarantee for buyers, before trying to give advice!

OP2 years agoso what do I do? it says "The seller's responsible for return shipping charges, so you can ask for a return shipping label."
what now?

·2 years agoHi @likea-2723
Sellers CANNOT issue a shipping label from countries other than their own. They need to send the buyer the money to pay for a shipping label ... like through PayPal. Find out the cost to ship the item back to the seller ... AND THEN ask the seller to send you the money.
If you don't receive the money within a few days ... then go back to your return request and ask eBay to step in.

Is it possible to choose an economical shipping method by choosing the seller from the buyer to save money?

·2 years agoHi @u2_vintage
I’m sorry, but I don’t understand your question. Could you please rephrase it?

When a buyer requests a return, is it possible for the seller to ask the buyer to choose economy shipping for the return instead of express shipping to save money?

To clarify, once the seller has approved the return, there will not ever be a link so that the buyer can ask ebay to step in. They would have to contact eBay directly.
@sdneped posted a link to contact ebay on ebay's Facebook account, however, I'm not sure if users outside of North America can use that link. I've been told that they can't but I don't know that for sure.

Thank you for that clarification. I was wondering how that part of the return process worked.

Are you sending messages to yourself? No criticism ... just curious. 🙂

·2 years agoYou need to open a return case thru eBay. If the seller has free returns, the seller will be required to provide a prepaid return label or refund without requiring a return.
Yours looks like an international return which can be more complicated. Go ahead and open a return case thru your eBay purchase history. Find the item there and open a return case.
