The refund has not arrived despite the seller's promise
Hello, Sir or Madam,
There was an open box listing for the item that was purchased. A few scuffs and scratches were present on the product when it arrived. The item works properly when two units are combined. There was, however, a defect in the battery plate on one of the units. The product must be opened in order to fix the problem. There are other units that work fine. It was contacted before I returned the item to the seller. They told me they'd give me 100$ off for the condition. I agreed. It has been about 7 days and they haven't responded. I have sent them reminder messages to the site. I contacted them through eBay so all the messages are recorded. There is still time to return the item until January 25th. Do you have any advice? Should I return it or wait for the refund to be processed? Anything will be helpful. Refunds are confusing to me. Can a buyer request a refund through eBay? Thanks a lot

·3 years agoI'm assuming you didn't open an actual case through ebay correct? If not the seller is probably stalling you until your MBG runs out. Just go to that purchase and in dropdown options you can choose return and then defective as reason. The seller has 3 days to refund without requiring the item back, issue a shipping label for you to send the item back and refund once it is received to them, or I believe they can respond with a partial refund and if you agree that will close the case. If the seller hasn't responded on the fourth day escalate the case and ask ebay to step in. Ebay will force the refund (You may or may not have to return the item) and the seller will get a defect as well.
