Strange Return & reason
Yesterday Saturday April 20th. I received a package in the mail. I had No idea what it was. Opened it and was confused about the contents. It was a used Wii video game (Rock Band) that I sold around a month ago (March 22)
I knew nothing of this return. I had not heard anything from the buyer nor Ebay. I looked through my messages and the only message I have is from April 17th "Your funds are on hold do to return request. We'd previously contacted you about this return". However this is the only message I have received.
The buyer kept the game for 28 days and reason for returning is "my console is not cooperating with this game anymore and I do not have the patience to fix my console."
I am going to just refund them before the day is over, I but l would like any info ON THIS Issue Only if anybody has any... Thanks in advance.

·2 years agoI was just notified by a buyer that they already sent something back for a return however they never opened. return nor have the correct return address. I guess we will see what happens.

·2 years agoApparently what you received IS the return. Look in your Returns under Orders in your Seller Hub it will be there.Refund your buyer, you only have 2 days from receiving the return to refund before the buyer asks eBay to step in and do that for you, when that happens you get a defect for cases closed without a seller resolution.
You can relist the item if you like.

On a few rare occasions, a buyer has just sent back an item to me (which they had previously purchased), without the buyer having opened a return request, or even emailing me about a problem.
While you are not obligated to refund the buyer, it would probably be the right thing to do.
