Steering wheel return
I purchased a steering wheel that did not match the description. I returned, but was shorted $20 for shipping back. I feel I should receive a full refund as the description of item was incorrect. I would not have bought if description was correct.

·2 years agoSomething is not right with this return.
If you filed a return, opened a return case choosing not as described/ wrong item then you automatically get a return label charged to the seller and the seller must refund in full.
If you were not refunded in full then you need ask eBay to step in and let them know you were not refunded in full.
The seller can only deduct from the refund if you were returning it because you changed your mind or it doesn't fit. Then they can deduct the original shipping. They can also deduct up to 50% if it's not returned in the original condition.

OP2 years agoI reached out to eBay and was told since I got return label from seller and not eBay I’m out my $20 return fee. Everyone beware of buying from staghound, took me for $20!

·2 years agoDid you choose Doesn't fit as the return reason?
ebay should make it more obvious to buyers that in ebay's world that reason is a so called remorse return (where BUYER pays shipping) and that if it 'doesn't fit' because it's the wrong part/size, the buyer should choose Not as described, or wrong item sent (where the SELLER pays shipping).

I notice that your seller's reply to your feedback reads, "As per our store policy, the $18.95 shipping is not refundable as FedEx did their job and delivered the package."
^^^ That's crazy talk.
If you opened the Return citing a 'Not as Described' reason, your seller owes you the s&h cost, period. Did you?

·2 years agoIt sounds like you may have chosen something along the lines of 'didn't fit' as a return reason?
If so, ebay views that as a remorse return, and buyer pays return shipping. As kensgiftshop states, in an INAD return (item not as described), seller would have had to send you a pre-paid return label.

OP2 years agoSeller was aware that the article was not described correctly. I sent him photos as such. you would have thought he would have sent me the CORRECT return label, but he stuck me with the return shipping. Dirty pool on his part. Live and learn, I guess.
