Someone bought an item I forgot to take down months ago and I am unsure how to return the money

I listed an item around April but ended up giving it to someone I knew. I forgot to take it down and someone ended up (bidding?)/(purchasing?) it in May. I haven't looked at ebay or my email for this account since then and it shows that I've been paid and theyre waiting on my info to pay me. I never sent the person a message let a lone ship the item. Not sure how to send the money back.

If this happened last year most likely the customer has been refunded by eBay's MBG and you now will need to contact eBay as your account may possibly be restricted. I can't say for sure about the restrictions but generally when eBay has to refund the customer they will give the penalty to you.
