Seller will not communicate with me, can I go direct to eBay to solve the issue?
Trying to communicate with seller on a defective product, will not respond, always suggesting I try again later.

·8 months agoYou should probably try to open a dispute with your credit card issuer, in spite of when the transaction occurred they MIGHT open a dispute and rule in your favor.
Ebay will do nothing, the seller will do nothing but you bank is more likely to be inclined to protect you and their other customers.

·8 months agoOP you need to be more proactive about this kind of thing. If there is a problem with your purchase you have to open a return within 30 DAYS not 2 years....

·8 months agoNo need to contact the seller.
Go to your purchase history and click return item and select, the item doesn't match the description as the reason.
The seller will have 3 days to accept the return and pay return shipping or refund without returning.
If they don't, return to the case on day 4 and ask Ebay to step in.

OP8 months agoI have tried what you suggested and the purchase history only lets me go back 90 days.
This RC 3Pro Controller purchase was placed and received I June 2025, I used it with no issues for the next six or eights weeks before it failed. After that it would not start-up and load the fairly app. I contacted DJI Support and they issues me a support case number and informed me there was a shortage of replacement parts and would let me know when to return the item. I checked back in September and mOctober 2025 and still no change in availability for parts or replacement Controllers under DJI 1 year warranty. I tried again in December 2025 and DJI authorized the return and issued me a pre-paid return UPS label.
Here's the problem, once received and checked out DJI in formed me that DJI products purchased in Chins are not covered under this warranty and to repair the controller it would cost me over $1,100.00 US. I did not purchase it in China, it was purchased on eBay from the state of Washington. I've tried everything and my only option is to contact eBay direct and that hasn't worked.
Any suggestions from any body, please and thanks, Earl

Wowzer. I'm afraid you've even passed your CC limits on chargeback (since June, 2025), but have you tried them? 🤞

·8 months agoYou had 30 days after delivery to open an item not as described case with eBay.
No need to contact the seller.
Most credit cards give you a few months to do a charge back, so I'm afraid that door has slammed shut also.
No suggestions for you, sorry, but how about reading the Money Back Guarantee so you will know what to do if/when this happens again.

·8 months agoeBay did not sell the item to you. It was sold to you by a seller on eBay, who may indeed have been in China. in fact, looking at the history of the feedback left for you as a buyer, the most likely seller for that item is in fact located in China.

If it's defective, just open a Return request. It's not necessary to contact the seller first and it is how to "go direct to eBay".
And don't let a seller string you along ("try again later"); you only have 30 days from delivery to file a claim. Good luck.
