I think @4glenslens has a problem with the truth. They are being deliberately evasive answering questions here. When they do answer, they are giving replies that contradict each other. I find it funny that that they want to sue the seller, yet didn't have the heart to leave the seller a negative feedback but instead left a neutral. They also stated in their feedback that the seller "dodged delivery 3 times" but in post #13 they state it was "returned twice" and that the "second attempt by UPS got through." In post #12 they say the seller would not respond but in post #35 they state the seller offered a partial refund for the missing power cord.
One more thing. Their feedback indicates they have also been a seller. Methinks they know exactly how to do a return.
No problem with the truth, a problem using my hands due to arthritis. Christworks/Rockstar you should go with the second name because there is nothing of Christ in your replies and negative judgemental reply. Did you drop the mic on your foot? Hard to do when it is in your mouth!
FYI- I’m a HE not a they. No contradictions here. I sent CD player back twice, UPS made 3 attempts to deliver package then after bouncing around the southeast returned it to local UPS office. I then had it sent again and it got delivered. So I had to pay twice to return this package. A contradiction in your mind perhaps. Yes I have sold in the past, but no never had to do a return, I listed and photographed my items accurately so I never had to do a return. This was my first time and I made some mistakes, but not 693.00 dollar mistakes. Your concern is touching.
Where did you get the UPS shipping label that you used to ship it back to the seller?
Did you purchase that yourself?
I agree, you’re causing a lot of difficulty here because you either don’t want to tell us the simple facts or you’re somehow not understanding that what you’re telling us is way too vague and confusing for anyone to actually figure out what went wrong.
Thanks for the replies e-Bayern’s. It is very disappointing that e-bay has been so impotent in this matter. Never a cop around when you need one! Thanks again.
Here's how this works: In order to get refunded, you needed to open the return request through ebay. This is done through your purchase history page by clicking on 'more options' in the upper right hand corner of the listing in question. There's no need to ask ebay, talk to ebay, message ebay, or contact the seller or anything else. The entire process is simple and completely automated. By you seemingly refusing to answer anyone here on how you proceeded with the return, we can only guess that just returned the item on your own outside of ebay guidelines. If that's the case, you have eliminated the option of getting ANY help from ebay.
In looking at your feedback left for the seller, it shows this transaction was in the past 6 months. If that's the case, hopefully you paid by credit card and are within the time frame for your CC provider to step in.
Because the buyer didn’t (seem) to go through eBay’s Money Back Guarantee, eBay can’t help you. Had you opened the proper case, sent the item back with the label provided, even if the seller refused delivery, you would have been refunded.
It’s always a good idea to look at a sellers feedback before purchasing. It can be a real eye opener. It may even help save some money.
Interesting that e-bay is protecting [removed by moderator]’s identity but will no properly investigate this case.
If you are talking about the community moderator removing the ID of the seller, that is because it is against the community rules to name and shame.
You screwed up bottom line if you did not open a case. That is fully on you and not eBay or the system. You want to blame everyone else for your mistake, maybe it is time to go look in the mirror for whom to blame.
Let's rewind a bit: Did you, the buyer, actually open an item not as described case with eBay per the Money Back Guarantee? Did the seller send you a prepaid return label to send the item back? Did you do that?
Your message is lacking some important details.
If all you did was contact the seller, nothing is going to happen. If you did not open an NAD case, DO IT NOW.
You have only 30 days after receipt to open a case.
If, however, all you did was contact the seller, and the item was delivered more than 30 days ago, then that door has closed. You will need to contact your credit card company.
I did open NAD case with e-bay, but using an I-pad does make conveying all the details very tedious. This was my first experience dealing with an unscrupulous seller and this guy was pretty slippery.
I did open NAD case with e-bay, but using an I-pad does make conveying all the details very tedious. This was my first experience dealing with an unscrupulous seller and this guy was pretty slippery.
There are no sellers “slippery” enough to get out of refunding you with a properly filed Item Not As Described claim, if you follow the instructions.
Your response here is still vague. Did you go to your Purchase History and open a Return Request, or did you just message the seller and tell them you wanted to return it?
If you did not ship it back with a label provided through a formal Return Request, then that is the equivalent of buying something at Walmart, deciding to return it by just placing it on the ground outside the store, and expecting them to refund you for the item.
Could not get seller to respond. Refund was requested within 30 days. Seller was trying to run out the clock. So far he has been successful with that ploy
For your future reference, the following is the official procedure for processing a return on eBay:
In the upper right hand corner of your "My eBay" page, click on "My eBay," and scroll down to "Purchase History."
That will take you to your "Purchases" page.
Find the item in question -- on the right hand side of the screen is a column of blue ovals -- click on the one that reads "More actions" -- then scroll down to "Return this item."
Click on that, and you will be sent to the "Return request" page.
Under "Return reason," scroll down to "Item defective" -- then click on "Confirm."
The seller must provide a return shipping label within a few days -- if the seller does not respond, eBay will step in and force a prepaid shipping label to be sent to you.
Once you have returned the item (using ONLY the prepaid label supplied by eBay), the seller will send you a refund within a few days of receiving the returned item -- if the seller does not respond, eBay will force the refund from the seller's account, and you will be made whole.
But this process only works if the buyer follows the official eBay return process -- and it sounds as if you returned the item without following the proper return procedures.
So eBay cannot assist you, and the seller cannot be forced to send you a refund.

If you did file the NAD case and the buyer didn't respond with the refund, on day 4 after tracking of the return showed delivery to the seller, you should have gone back to the case and asked ebay to step in.
They don't need to respond if you had opened a case for not as describe return. If you just returned the item without opening a case, you have no leg to stand on re getting a refund. You seem to be dancing all around the question people have asked you. If you didn't open a case, eBay is NOT going to help you.
If you just returned the item without filing a claim and receiving a usable return shipping label, then you basically just gave the item back to the seller. There needs to be a return initiated and a tracking record for the return within ebay in order to be refunded
Item was returned, now seller has product and $693.00. Can’t get through to e bay.
If you filed an INAD through Ebay, seller has two days to refund once tracking shows it was delivered.

When was it delivered back to the seller? The seller has 3 days to issue a refund and if they don't do so, go back to the return request and click to ask ebay to step in.
It was returned twice but seller refused first attempt, second attempt by UPS got through. Now he has CD player and $693.00 of my money.
Did you actually open a return on eBay or did you just send the CD player back to the seller? There is a big difference.
If you did not actually open a return on eBay but instead shipped the item back to the seller (or refused it), then as far as eBay is concerned you still have the item. You cannot just mail orders back without opening up an offical return on eBay. The seller has no responsibility to refund you your money. As far as they are concerned, you gave the item back to them. That's just like when a seller issues a refund before the buyer returns an item. The seller waives their right to their item once they refund the buyer. If you just sent the item back without opening a return, you waived your right to a refund.
Now, if you did open a return on eBay, then the seller has 2 days to issue you a refund.
Was this return handled through eBay? And, if the seller has had the return at least three days, why don't you return to the case you (hopefully) opened and ask eBay to step in?

Never return an item without first filing an official eBay "Return this item" case.
Do you really believe that you can find a lawyer willing to work on a $693.00 legal case?
O.K. Yes I did open an NAD case with e-bay within 14 days. The seller supplied the wrong power cord so that I couldn’t confirm that the unit should have been listed as “for repair or parts only”. My local Hi-Fi shop quickly determined that it was a for parts unit and I contacted seller for refund. He offered refund for power cord. I asked for a return and full refund but got no reply. This was a ploy to delay and run out the clock, and e-bay is letting him get away with it. There should be repercussions on this seller. Thanks for trying to help.
