Hello,
I’m looking for advice regarding a return case that was automatically closed.
I returned an item to the seller and the tracking shows it was delivered back to them on Apr 24. The seller also acknowledged in messages that they would issue a refund, but the refund was never sent.
The issue is that the case was automatically closed because tracking information was not uploaded before the deadline, so the system says the case is not eligible for appeal anymore.
This was also a “not as described” issue. The item was advertised as a genuine Tesla OEM part, but after installation it was confirmed to be non-genuine and defective.
At this point the seller has both the returned item and my payment.
Is there any way to request a manual review or escalation for this situation?
Thank you.

·4 months agoOnce a case is closed there is no way to reopen it. If Ebay closed the case then something was done wrong. If you did file an official case against the seller you should've been able to escalate the case to have Ebay step in once the time frame expired for the seller to issue you a refund. The only other option at this point is contact your payment source for a chargeback.
