Seller Provided Return Label
I purchased a clothing item that was the wrong size(twice). The Seller provided 2 return shipping labels. I put them in the outgoing bin inside my local post office on two separate dates and they seem to be lost after that point. The label has a PO box # for the return address in MI. I've inquired several times at this PO, written to the Postmaster, attempted to contact the seller through Ebay with no reply. Ebay couldn't help because I don't have a receipt from dropping it off. I don't understand why this package would not have been scanned and put into the system. Seems something strange is going on - why wouldn't the seller try to help? How could 2 pkgs going to the same place be lost? I'm out $54+. Filed missing mail claims but nothing yet. Has anyone experienced this?

·2 years agoIt sounds like your seller provided altered return shipping labels @dorchaknight as your seller has gone silent.
Are the 2 square 2-D barcodes missing from the labels?
And the tracking number in the large rectangular barcode
-- would not have matched the numbers below it
-- which you were using to track your returns, to ask the PO, and to write to the postmaster.
So each of your returns made it back to the seller, with the real tracking number in the main barcode. If you still have images* or photos of the labels, scan their barcodes after installing a barcode app on your phone.
*If your seller foolishly uploaded those labels to eBay, for you to download and print, then eBay still has copies of those labels.
Check if those barcodes say delivered, then contact eBay by chat at eBay, or with a private message here, to update the tracking numbers in your return requests, and eBay will force your refunds from the seller.

OP2 years agoHello again - I hope that you don't mind my following up on this problem. I did what you suggested regarding the barcodes and found that the numbers below the code were different than the bar codes and the label had been altered. I have been trying since March to get refunded for the two shirts that I returned and were received by the seller. I've done emails, chats, phone calls, etc. and nothing works. It doesn't seem right that Ebay would support this type of dishonesty and I should lose my money because of it. Would you have any other suggestions? Thank you very much

Your best bet is to contact your credit card issuer and opening a dispute.
