Seller not responding after refund request - food item turned out to be 10 years old | Returns

After searching online for information, I found that people felt a certain manufacture gum paste (to make sugar flowers for a wedding cake) was better in the bag than the tub. I found the item on eBay, ordered it and it arrived quickly. But it was hard and had excess air in it. An online search showed the manufacture date to be from June of 2015 - 10 years old. I couldn't believe it. I contacted the manufacture to verify the date, and they told me it was indeed 10 years old. They said it probably wouldn't hurt to eat it but would also not do well for making flowers. Making sugar flowers takes hours and hours. They look real when they are done. While I was waiting to receive the answer from the manufacture, I contacted what I thought was a different seller and asked about the codes on their packages. They answered quickly, and it was the same - 10 years old. I sent all this and more information to the seller, explaining that I was sure they didn't mean to sell a 10-year-old product. I requested a refund, stating that I thought the product should be thrown out rather than returned to be sold again because of the age. I also asked that all items with the same date, be removed from eBay. I emailed last Wednesday and have still not received an answer. I also notice that the email address from the person I bought from, and the "different" seller are the same person. He/she answered my question about the codes on the item they were selling very quickly but have not answered me on the refund. I am concerned that they are avoiding me. I don't want to leave seller feedback saying the product was 10 years old in a public way, but I also feel it is unfair to sell this product which is mostly sugar and egg white and created to use on cakes when it is 10 years old. I can't find anyone to contact to see what I should do. Could you please help me? Thanks Melissa
