Seller failing to respond to requests for a claim under warrant.
A purchase made over 90 days ago has become faulty. The seller has failed to respond to various requests for contact to discuss a claim under warranty. Ebay's automated system cannot identify the purchase as it is more than 90 days ago (despite my providing the computer with the order number.).
I cannot find a way to be connected to an agent, as all the options required to be ticked lead to a dead end 'discussion'.
How do I get Ebay to either put me in touch with an agent or to tell the seller to respond?

·1 year agoThere is no warranty on most items sold on eBay. They cover you for 30 days from delivery. After that, your on your own. If you purchased an aftermarket warranty, you have to contact them.

If you are referring to this item (from your feedback page) it was well over 90 days ... actually more than a year ago.
The eBay Money Back Guarantee is the only guarantee that eBay offers (and enforces), and it is only available for 30 days from the delivery date, or expected delivery date, whichever comes first.
Warranties are normally offered and supported by the manufacturer, not the seller. Although many manufacturers will not support warranties for items that are either used, or sold through a secondary market such as eBay. You are in the UK, but this is the same as in the USA (where this forum is based).
Have you tried to contact the manufacturer, and what was the result? Unfortunately, if they will not honour the warranty, for any reason, then I'm afraid there probably is not any recourse.
Some eBay sellers claim to manufacturer and warrant their items themselves, but unfortunately in that case, you have to deal with them as the manufacturer, and eBay can't assist you with this, or require the seller to do anything as it is outside the time limit for the MBG.
Was this a business seller? If so, then their business address and contact info should be available on their listings and account. If they were a private seller, then I'm not sure you will have any recourse.
