Seller did not refund, said could not ..
My seller sold me an item that arrived severely damaged, he did not pack it at all well, it was an 88lb $7000 used Printer that I paid $2k.
He did not even use a good box or good packing material, just used up postal bubble wrap envelops and used torn up cardboard, so it came all cracked up.
He stated I paid his shipping costs of $122 he would give me a refund immediately of the rest, and let me keep the item as he was not going to ship it back, I did not want to agree but he kept insisting it was not his fault it was UPS fault. I agreed to the amount.
Then we he stated he tried to refund me it would not let him, then he came up with it kept giving him a 404 error and that his store is different because he has a no returns policy on his items.
He then claimed i had to start it on my end. So i did, but all i seen as an option, he accepted the return, so i thought i would just get a refund now, but instead it says I have to return it back, and he sent me a label, of which he did not at all yet, and i have to wait 3 days before I can do anything.
There is no way I can send it back with no appropriate shipping box or packing material, you would need a small crate even to make it safe. Now i wish I would have not did the return option and have him just figure out how to do the refund. he apparently had a computer glitch that day i think as i bought another one to make up for this printer and the guy did not want to ship it because he goofed on the shipping cost, and he was able to refund me right away! Easy..
So what should i do now? just wait? and hope i get my money back, hell he could just send me any shipping label for the $87 i originally paid and i would be responsible to ship it back just to get my money back, that's not right. for a now junked machine.

You chose correctly, and I'd follow through with eBay before going to my payment source. Yes, the seller could have just refunded, but who's to say he/she would? You say you have no return shipping label... go back to the case on Day 4... 96 hours and 1 second (or later) of opening the Return and you'll be able to ask eBay to step in. You'll be made whole.

Go to your purchase history and click return item and select, the item doesn't match the description as the reason.
The seller will have 3 days to accept the return and pay return shipping or refund without returning.
If they don't, return to the case on day 4 and ask Ebay to step in.

OP4 months agoI did that and I selected the reason damaged. but it said the seller says he sent a label, but he never did.. so does that mean he could have selected refund without return as an option?
I really don't know what is going on why he did nto select the correct item, and then never sent a label.

If you funded your purchase with a credit card, you may want to contact your credit card company and attempt to be refunded from there. Tell the agent what happened and ask what you need to do to get your money back. Tell them you're willing to return the item IF the seller provides packaging in some way to ship it back.
Once you contact another agency for a refund ... eBay will no longer be able to help you, but you should definitely have a better chance of being refunded through your CC company at this point.

·4 months agoIf it just says that the seller confirmed they sent a shipping label, but they did not, and it does not show Refunded, you should reach out to customer service and report that.
eBay does not have a phone number you can call directly, but you can click this link and follow the prompts to begin a chat or request a callback based on availability:

·4 months ago(1) What do you mean the BUYER did not refund? YOU are the buyer. The title of this post doesn't make sense.
(2) You will have to ship it back to get a refund. The seller is responsible for all of the return shipping costs and that label will be paid for by them. If you don't have a proper box, you'll need to procure one somehow.

OP4 months agoSorry about title my first post ever...i figured out how to edit.
Maybe you did not read to well, the seller does not want it back, that's why he has not given me a label yet, he does not want to pay for it to come back, but I was worried he might pull something on me.
But what happens if he does not give label, is more of what I want for an answer.
