I recently received an defective item that i want to ship back. eBay have provided me with a USPS shipping label but I would like to use FedEx to ship back since that is what i have access to at the moment. (USPS return is free but i don't mind footing the FedEx cost)

I produced the label to the FedEx guys but they also want contact information since they say its door delivery. Any assistance with this and how i can also provide the tracking once shipped.

Use the label you received.

Talk to the seller.

Is this convenient for the seller as well?

I love FedEx...They only do door delivery to me and I usually have to sign and it's so much quicker cross country.

USPS usually just drops it off and takes longer.

i talked to the seller, they are okay with it. which phone number do i put in the delivery address? looks like the seller wont provide that (of course because of eBay regulations on the chat)

I just wanted to warn you that you will be held responsible for the damage if the seller feels you returned the item in worse shape than you received it â€¦ or if it is lost in transit â€¦ since you are purchasing your own label.

Depending on the cost of the item â€¦ it might be better to inconvenience yourself by using USPS to ship.

I just noticed that you are registered in Kenya. I don't think that anyone else had noticed that either ... so ALL of our replies likely have been based on the assumption that both you and the seller are in the US.

I am assuming that the seller must live in the US ... yes? Please answer the following:

To what country was the item originally shipped?
What shipping service was used to ship the item to you originally?
Where are you NOW?
What is the item AND its cost?

The answers to the above will help us determine the safest way to proceed with the return.

[The telephone number should be the number of the intended recipient of the package so that the carrier can phone them should there be a problem with delivery.]
