"I'm filling a lawsuit next week at the court house Bartow Fl."
Your legal fees will probably exceed the value of the purse.
Probably not worth the time and effort -- write it off as a loss.

·4 months agoYou have been registered here on this ID since October, 2006, and you appear to have been a very good seller. Was this the very first return you've ever had?
You might want to refresh your memory on how returns work on eBay.
Buyer decides item is not as described and opens return.
Seller responds by sending buyer prepaid return label and buyer returns item.
That's when the seller refunds the buyer, not before receiving the item back.

·4 months agoIf you wanted it returned, you should have waited to refund until it was returned.
Ebay won't do anything t help.
A police report for what?
They didn't steal anything, you let them have it.

The idea behind a return/refund request is that you refund after you've received your item back, not before.
Unfortunately you've created the exact circumstance described by @jonathanbrightlight . Any attorney who has read the ebay member agreement will tell you a lawsuit will go nowhere. For that matter Sheriff Grady Judd can't help either.

It's a tough lesson learned, and I'm sure there are many buyers with a good conscience who wouldn't feel right keeping an item, but we hear too often on the forums of circumstances just like yours, where a seller took the high road and got burned.

·4 months agoYou can't name and shame here by posting the buyer's username.
If you refunded the buyer, not only is she not required to return anything, but she can't access any return label that was generated anymore.
You need to read up on the correct process for handling return requests. https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/managing-returns-refunds/handle-return-request-seller?id=4115&st=12&pos=5&query=How%20to%20handle%20a%20return%20request%20as%20a%20seller&intent=returns&context=DEFAULT_SELLER&docId=HELP1113...
