Return recipient absent
I started a return process and some days ago sent back the item with the return label created by the seller. I've been tracking the return parcel and noticed that has been tried to be delivered twice last week (after which there will be no more attempts) and on both attempts the seller has been absent to receive the return.
It is hard for me to trust this seller, mainly because the return is related to counterfeiting, additionally the seller did not include any contact information in the return label address, which looks suspicious.
Although it is understandable that I should wait some more time for now, I would like to know what happens if the seller never picks up the return. Does the possibility to ask eBay for help become available after a certain time?

·3 years agoNo, the option to ask eBay to step in will never appear.
But when your return tracking eventually* shows it was delivered back to you
-- if eBay hasn't already closed the case re time for return delivery
-- eBay gives the seller @betelgeuse8 2 business days
-- before eBay asks itself to step in and refund.
*return-to-sender is a low-priority, space-available transit
But don't take that risk -- get on Facebook with eBay here, get eBay to see the delivery attempt, and get your refund out of the seller.
That's because eBay considers the failed delivery attempt to be the same as delivered.
Proof of delivery for returned items
Returns should be sent with tracked shipping that can be independently validated.
We require all of the following to prove a successful return delivery:

Yes it does. Check the case daily. When you can escalate it to eBay, do so through the case. Good luck.
