Return abuse and scam's
Anyone else having issue's with ebay forcing us refund order's for items that ether are returned with empty boxes, or old used damaged parts? We have also discovered a scam buyers are doing by claiming they never received parts, yet the is photographic and confirmed delivery evidence the packages were delivered, yet ebay will refund them, claiming a police report was submitted, and yet the customer nor ebay can/will provide said police report?

·11 months agoClassic return fraud. Just add a bit to all your prices to cover such loss.

·11 months agoThe only solution is to have cameras at your shipping station.
The only way we've won these is to open up the return on camera and present screenshots of such, with the backup of having the full video.
It's often being blamed on drop shippers, not the original buyer, by eBay, fyi.

·11 months agoThat's a new one on me @wildthingsgames . I've not heard of videoing 'grand openings' (or 'closings' before mailing) ever helping a seller win a case.
How many times has that worked for you? Was the original ruling 'reversed' OR were you given a 'curtesy refund' by eBay?

·11 months agoThe ruling was the original ruling. No reversal. However, the buyers almost always do a chargeback and win with their credit card company. (so hopefully it is a drop shipping doing the actual theft)
This was advice given by eBay, but I had already had the idea, prior to hearing the suggestion.
We have not lost one of these since the second time it happened. It has happened no less than 6 times, so far. Once with the same buyer twice simultaneously.

·11 months agoThat's part of the business dealing with parts. You will have scams where buyers will ship old parts instead of the original ones you sent. All you can do is report the buyer, block them from buying again from you and place a max value on what you sell on Ebay. You should already know there is a risk selling online regardless of platform. Things happen beyond you control which this is one of them. Write it off as a loss.

can't tell comparatively how wide spread that little trick is overall.
It would be irritating indeed when YOU know what went down.
I don't think anyone would be happy with something like that happening...
but I really can't give you much advice-wise.
