I am lookin for the item I purchased in September 2025: USED , Amazon - Echo Dot (5th Gen, 2023) Smart Speaker with Alexa -Charcoal
It is showing in my purchases, but not showing when I go to select the item for return? Return Window Closed on May 30, however, I wish to return the item to the seller for a full refund because when I go to register it, the message from Amazon says that the item has been reported lost or stolen and is unable to be registered and to contact the person who I bought it from. I did try to contact the EBay buyer, via Ebay buyer email, but I have not heard back in over 5 days. Hope someone can help me with this issue.

·10 months agoCommon sense tells you that something purchased or received in September, 2025, will not have a return window that closed on May 30.
If you will return here and give accurate and complete details of the situation, we would really like to help.

·10 months agoIf you bought from Amazon why would you be looking or asking on eBay or its community forums?
If this items was bought from an eBay seller that shipped from Amazon the return needs to be done through that seller not Amazon.
None of your dates are even lining up. You bought in September but return window closed May 30th!!
Maybe you need to edit your post with correct information because what you have posted makes no sense.
You are posting as a buyer but keep say emailed the buyer? As it is the main body of this post looks to have been cut and pasted from somewhere else and maybe has nothing to do with the actual question.
Please fix your post so we can try and help.

Please post the item number.

May 30 would be well past the 90 days so there wouldn't be any record of it anyway.
One other thing I could think of is that the item was shipped in a used Amazon box so buyer thought it was shipped from Amazon. Lord knows I have enough of those myself.

The Echo Dot was invented by Amazon … (my own Echo just confirmed that 😉) … and I believe is sold NEW only on Amazon.
A USED Echo could be sold anywhere … but would need to be registered on Amazon in order to use it.
I don’t think the OP implied that Amazon was involved in any way in their purchase of the product.
But as you stated, the dates the OP mentions are obviously incorrect.

You may be able to do a charge back with your CC that you used for the purchase.

It sounds like you waited too long to attempt to register the device (on Amazon) to learn that it was lost/stolen.
You had only until May 30th to file a claim with eBay. It’s now too late to do it.
Try going through your payment source (credit card company?) for help. You may be able to do a chargeback. Good luck!

·10 months agoUnfortunately, you are past eBay's 30 Day Money Back Guarantee at this point. You can seek assistance from your credit/debit card or PayPal, depending on how you paid.
