So i ordered a monitor 2 week ago it came without any flaw/scratch with a manual/guide papers, a dp cable , and power cable .
i asked the seller for a return and he agreed (main reason the monitor color were off)
I bought the label for return and yesterday the post guy took the monitor.
Now the seller contacted me telling me the monitor got some scratches, and i actually forgot to put inside the box the dp port cable and the manual paper ( i gave them back the monitor, the stand , and the power supply cable).
Seller told me he won't refund me if hes not going to receive the dp port and the manual, but he said he will refund me partially, cause the monitor got some scratches which i didn't not make if i send back the 2 missing thing dp and manual.
What should i do?
Should i ask directly help from ebay?
I dont want to buy a new label i Just wang my money back even less for the dp and then manual paper :\>

By the way the scratches surely was not my fault the seller before shipping to me contacted me via WhatsApp I don't know why he didn't message me using ebay
Anyway he told me the box got some damage but he Insured me telling the monitor was fine, i told it's okay since i needed a monitor unrgently. Thats it

·3 years agoSorry, I stand corrected on this. Because your seller does thirty day returns, he was allowed to deduct part of your refund.Your return was missing parts, and he claims there were scratches.

I really don’t know. The monitor was purchased ‘New’. Now it’s not.
How much would it cost to purchase the missing components new?
You couldn’t have packaged the monitor very carefully if you omitted items. Did you remove protective film from it … allowing it to be scratched?
[BTW… Wasn’t it possible to adjust the color?]

The monitor had no protective film and it was listed as new despite the box damage clearly visible.
Adjusting color?
I tried everything like profiles recommend by some reddit user but still the color were way too much imo.

Wow, so it sounds like your seller was not allowed to deduct your refund, after all. Well, you were made whole, so be happy now.

·3 years agoEven if the seller was allowed to keep part of the refund ebay has been know to refund the buyer the remaining portion if the buyer complained. Note that we still don't know if the rules regarding this are the same in Italy as they are there.

·3 years agoEven if the seller is allowed to deduct. If you contact eBay customer service and let them know the item was delivered, as long as the return tracking shows delivered they will issue a full refund on the spot.
If eBay refunds before the seller, it will always be full. 🙂

OP3 years agoRegarding the missing item i paid for the pickup and was able to print the label on the same day.
I just packed everything on the night before pickup which was the day after I've for the label didnt pay much attention

Really. I'm going on the assumption that it looks like the seller has free returns. They did not pay for the return of the monitor so is it really that unreasonable to expect them to pay for return shipping for the missing parts? Obviously they should have been included with the monitor but the seller will pay less for the return of the missing items than they would of had they paid for the return of the monitor.

Dear customer, in addition to the pictures sent, we saw that the product was also damaged. We wanted to know if it is possible to receive the missing pieces so we can make a partial refund.

·3 years agoYou should have never paid for the return shipping. You should have filed a case with item not as described,and the seller would have been responsible to supply you with the return label.. You can still do that, go to your transaction and use the drop down menu. Be sure to add the tracking number so Ebay sees that the item has been delivered to the seller.

OP3 years agoI can't exactly find the drop down menu for "item not as described" in my order i can only ask for ebay to Intervene but i need to wait till the 10th (3 day after the return)

·3 years agoP.S. since you did pay for the return, Ebay will not refund you that amount.They dont refund shipping fees after the fact.

·3 years agoIf I am looking at the correct seller, they have up to 60 day returns and the seller pays for return shipping within Italy. I don't know what the rules are on that site, they may be very different than what they are here on the .com site so I have no idea if the seller will be able to give a partial refund.
But, since they do have free returns they should be willing to pay for the shipping for the return of the items that you forgot to send. If they had already paid for the return shipping when you sent the items back it would be your responsibility to pay for shipping for the rest of the items. But since you paid for return shipping once, they should pay for shipping for the remainder of the items.

·3 years agoYour seller is also in Italy? It will be up to you and on your dime to return those items you left out with the return label the seller provided. If this seller does not have free returns and is a trs, he cannot keep any of your refund. If he does, file a case with Ebay and ask Ebay to step in.
If this is the seller who left you recent feedback, he does not have free returns, and is not eligible to only give you a partial refund.

I don't know how the Italian site works but if the listing was on .com, a trs seller can withhold a portion of the refund IF they offer at least 30 day returns. They don't need to have free returns.

·3 years agoHere, anyway... TRS offering (at least) 30-Day Returns, and any seller offering Free Returns have the option to short-refund. If the seller advertised 'Free Returns', then I think the seller should have sent a return shipping label. Now............ if the buyer forgot a to include a couple of items, the shipping of those by the buyer seems reasonable. No?
Regardless of the fact that the buyer ate the original postage, the seller should (still) pay for return shipping... but isn't required to as the official Return has been scanned 'Delivered'. I think the buyer will have to pay return shipping again. And I think the buyer is at the seller's mercy as to the short-refund. No?

·3 years agoThanks..but if this is the correct seller in Italy, that left the op fb this month, he does not offer free returns. "Thirty or sixty day returns, buyer pays return shipping.' Thats what I was referring to, that this seller does not offer free returns.It was then posted to me that the seller doesnt need to offer free returns, just thirty day returns, to be able to keep money from the ops refund. I dont think that is true.
