Retu;ns/refunds

A buyer bought two of the same item and returned one. Now ebay wants to give him a full refund instead of just a half refund. I've tried and tried to do the one-half refund but it keeps wanting to issue a full refund. And the buyer is not communicating with me. Open to suggestions.

Out of curiosity, was it the listing you sold (9/17) for the Oil Seal *Lot of Two*? If so, that blows. Were you a TRS (and since you offer 30-Day Returns), you could deduct up to half of the full refund for receiving something other/lesser than sent.

As it is, I don't know that you have any option than to refund in full. Hopefully, someone will come along and enlighten me.

Adding the same tracking to both items will do that.

Buyer should have returned both of them.

I do suggest making the refund if there is an open claim in the allotted time frame...

Pretty sure there are occasions when a seller can give a partial refund, aren't there?

Of course. But, that is before a an item is returned. It is a bit of an issue in the return system. I believe that this is an issue on multi quantity orders.
