Refund showing up on venmo, but not actually added to balance?
Hello. i recently had to start a return due to seller confusion over an item's model.
The refund showed up in my transaction history a day after the return was accepted, but the funds were never actually added to my balance. I waited a couple days, but eventually had to transfer money from another account instead. So, I know for sure that the funds were never available to me.
ebay says the refund will become available 3-5 days after the item is RECEIVED by the seller. But, no return label is being offered by ebay, and the seller is saying I don't have to return the item. Is this true?
A) I don't want the item B) doesn't seem like that's how returns should work and c) Ebay's help section tells me I won't get the refund until 3-5 days after the seller receives the item, so I am concerned I won't get the money back without returning the item.

OP1 year agoWhat i'm saying is, I believe the seller (or ebay) already initiated the refund. It just didn't go through as it ought to. (Or, I'm totally crazy and $40 somehow disappeared from my account without me having spent it or my account showing any deductions.)

·1 year agoI don't know anything about Venmo or how long it takes refunds to show up in the account.
Credit and debit cards, it could take a few days, up to a full billing cycle.
How long has it been since the refund was issued?
