Processing a return
I ordered 2 tires from Priorty Tire on Feb 20. I thought i ordered the wrong size so I canceled the order. After I realized they will fit my truck I tried to contact the seller to keep the tires. I hadn't bought anything from ebay for a long time. I have been texting back and forth with someone. I also paid for Firestone tire to have them installed. I take my truck to get the tires installed Firestone says they can't install them because they are waiting for someone from ebay to authorize the purchase. I didn't know I can't talk to anyone at ebay or priorty tire to get the service I already paid for. Ebay now says my return is closed but my tires are still sitting waiting for someone to say I paid for this service already. HELP anyone

Doesn't that make it sound like the tires were paid for? But maybe not the installation service?

·6 months ago...or the tires where shipped quickly, then the buyer requested the cancel & it was honored, then decided, no wait, i do want the tires, but then would need to actually repurchases them. And the tires sit there because they were quickly shipped....?
All I know, by the time this gets figured out, i would have been to the tire store, bought tiers, had them installed , stopped for lunch, been home to browse multiple threads on the ebay community board....

With that membership card, Firestone has permission to install your tires.

·6 months agoWow....why complicate such a simple thing as just going to a tire shop and select tires, let them install and balance, you pay and be on your way. How much does a person need to save to put themselves through this on-line process? No idea how you proceed, sounds like you paid for the service but cancelled the tires.

·6 months agoFile a chargeback with your funding source, that should get someone's attention.
Either get your tires or get a refund and buy safely from the Firestone shop.

·6 months ago@soh.maryl I'm glad I'm not the only one who is confused. I'm sitting here now trying to see if that seller offers a tire install service. I don't get why they would. Why would you pay someone on eBay to pay the Firestone in your town to install your tires? What are we missing?

·6 months agoI haven't seen it in awhile, but on some tire listings, they did have a install service you could also buy with the tires.
Don't know if it was a certain brand of tires or not.

·6 months agoThank you for your post! I am a very old lady, but, even when I was a younger chick, I never knew much about tires, so I read the original message three times trying to figure it out and just became more and more confused.

@kensgiftshop Thank you for the info. I went back and reviewed several tire listings, thinking install would be mentioned in the description. It isn't. There is a small link to buy install service and select a service center under the watchlist button at the top of the listing.
It does not appear the seller of the tires is the same outfit selling the install service. The install service appears to be run by a couple of companies who act as middle men and arrange the install services at the service center you choose from a pre-selected list. The OPs post is making more sense now. I've learned something new.
@jefhudso_9 I retagged you here. The seller is not who you bought the tire install service from. It appears it is either CarAdvise or a company called SimpleTire who handles the tire install services. The image below has the phone numbers for both in it. I don't know which one is handling your service. Not sure if you had to select a company or if it is based on where you live. Can you pull up the order on eBay that shows you paid for the tire install service? I'm sure it has the name of the company that is handling it.

You ordered the tires from an eBay seller, but then requested to cancel as you thought you ordered the wrong size? Did the seller actually cancel? If so, how can the tires be sitting somewhere waiting to be installed? Did you have them delivered directly to the Firestone store rather than to you?
Guess I don't know much about how this works. You paid, through eBay, for the store to install the tires?
