Neither Ebay or Seller given a return label
Summary: owjo_8 expressed frustration with the difficulty of obtaining a return label from eBay and sellers, noting that no label is provided even in communications and emails. They mention issues with using Royal Mail's options and receiving inconsistent responses from sellers. albertabrightalberta suggested that when dealing with sellers outside the UK, the buyer should determine shipping costs and have the seller reimburse them before shipping. owjo_8 noted discrepancies in addresses and the difficulty for those without a printer to handle returns.
When using view return details it gives royal mail drop off or schedule. There was no view return label button and messages and emails have no returns label/info given to create a return label. They must want this to be as difficult as possible to prevent returns happening.
The royal mail option wants you to provide your own returns label or if you do drop off using a qr code generated which neither are going to work for me. Surely Ebay can just generate one and message that to you but the message ebay send just says ready to return order xxxx from xxxx but no actual returns label provided or in an email.
Previous order same happened but selected schedule anyway but then no label was sent so couldn't hand it over. Then seller opened a case for whatever reason and was ruled in their favour. There should really be a option to schedule return without you having to print your own if they wont send you a returns label. Asking seller for a returns label just results in "check your emails or ebay messages" response rather than them sending you one.

You're in the UK but if your sellers aren't in the UK, they aren't able to send a prepaid return label.
What you have to do is go to the post office, find out how much tracked return shipping will cost and have the seller send you the funds (paypal, venmo, etc.) BEFORE you ship.

OP1 month ago · EditedWhat I mean is no return label given by ebay or the seller.
I don't mind printing one if the worst case is that I can only do that but my response to if using the buisness adress was okay to use was just "ebay will provide a returns label for our buisness adress" (this time) and last time I didn't even get as much as that.
I was thinking I can just view their about which has their buisness adress and use that to make my own label to send, since I now have the stuff to do so in case it happens again in the future. Not everyone will be willing to get a printer etc just to make the odd return.

·1 month agoWhether a return shipping label is provided depends on the reason for the return, the seller's return policy, and maybe other factors in the UK, in addition to whether the seller is in the UK, as @albertabrightalberta explained. Don't assume it's safe to just purchase a shipping label either. I would suggest you ask on the UK Community site, though, instead of the US one, and provide more details when you do.

OP1 month agoOnly thing that bothers me is the return adress on what they sent me in the label on the product I received when mailed to me doesn't match their buisness adress in their shop about.
