Negative or Neutral feedback
Why doesn't Ebay remove bad reviews for any reason now..I mean you can give a Full refund and let them keep the item and they still will give you a negative why doesn't ebay take that off. They tell me itt goes to a off line team..I have read on goggle you can pay for a service to get it taken off..maybe ebay pays another company to handle the feedback is that the off line team?

It does not appear to me that any of the negative FB is removable as it doesn't break policy.

I read your OP and thought I'd look at your feedback and see what looked like an undeserved negative feedback, something most sellers get eventually if they sell long enough.
But in looking at your feedbacks, I see what appear to be negative feedbacks that you earned from your disappointed buyers.
1. You canceled the buyer's order because the item is broken. If you'd examined that item before listing, you would either have not listed it or you would have clearly disclosed that it was broken. But to cancel without letting the buyer know why you want to do that resulted in a buyer who claims they would have taken it as is.
2. You lost an item! You need better inventory control! Then to add salt to the wound, you lied on the cancellation and claimed an issue with the address in order to avoid a ding to your account.
3. What does the buyer's location in Bosnia have to do with selling a cheap camera?
4. You sold another non-working item. Not as described item = unhappy buyer. And although you claim the buyer is a newbie, this poor buyer's first ebay experience is a poor one.
The neutral feedbacks also seem like you earned them.
My only agreement with you is that the buyers should have contacted you or opened NAD claims prior to leaving feedback. But had you had all those NAD claims, you would end up with multiple defects.

OP2 years agoI contacted them but they never contacted me back..Now they want to take the negative off,,but they say they don't know how..I sent a revision.TThat also a lie on there part saying I said it was cause of address. After sending about 5 emails before I canceled..The next thing I know I get a Negative..They said they didn't have time because there dad is getting treatment at the Mayo Clinic.

OP2 years agoYou should not give a feedback about the product..It should be about the selller or buyer. They knew they were getting a camera made in china..Where else are they made...I even got a negative it has been a long time ago..The buy seen I bought at walmart and said I had it marked up to high. That was the last time I left a price tag on something.Heck I bought something for .25 cents once and got $680 for it.
Why is it that most people responding back aren't selling anything. If you don't sale you have no Clue.

·2 years agoHi @biscuitandgravy
Most regular responders use either their buying account or a separate account just for posting in the Community.
You cannot tell anyone’s selling experience by looking at the account they use to post.
albertabrightalberta
·2 years agoBut in this case, the feedback isn't really a product review; it is to let future buyers know that the "junk" from the seller is just that - junk.
Posting ID.
Like many others, I do sell but on a different ID. And personally, I wouldn't sell any item that I wouldn't buy for myself or my friends or family. If it's not good enough for them, it's not good enough for buyers. JMHO.

OP2 years agoThey got what they paid for a new $25 trial camera..They should have spent like $150 for a better one.Actually I like the $25 Camera.Just like a car you get what you pay for..You can pay $35K for a Car or get a better one for 75K..
biscuitandgravy
OP2 years agoThat's so funny It was a product review they were both new in box...The weren't used junk/old camera's..

·2 years agoeBay prefers a seller take care of a buyer's problem of course.
It's sometimes how one handles the situation at the beginning.
Even though you give a refund but if seller gave a buyer a hard time about it...can make a big difference in feedback.
Communication to the buyer is the core of what kind of feedback to expect.
Yes, we all will have a nasty buyer...dishonest buyer...and so on.
It goes with the territory.
biscuitandgravy
OP2 years agoOnly a Buyer has to do just Email me before leaving a Bad review..I do or Would..it doesn't matter what you do you can refund them extra and they still would leave a bad review. But when you get bad reviews because of the product that is just wrong..When it gets there safely is about all I can do..I didn't make the darn thing.Oh well life goes on.

·2 years agoOnce a buyer has a bad experience with a seller, it doesn't matter how the seller made things right.
The buyer had a bad experience and that's what their FB is about. The buyer is not required to contact you first. Sorry,
biscuitandgravy
OP2 years agoThey should..Everything doesn't always go perfect.I have been on here 24 yrs selling with 2 accounts and never did get a Neutral or Negative until now.If I buy from someone..if something is wrong I always email them first..Most of the time it's a buyer that has little to no feedback.Reps will tell you they will take it off,,But what ever this off line team has no common sense..How would you feel if you got a return and it was a empty box and the sale was over $150 and ebay decides with the buyer..That has happen 2 times to me in the past year..The two added up was like a $275 loss.I sent pics and all..Ebay is just trying to run sellers off.Good Luck to them..

·2 years agoYOU are the seller
YOU are responsible to WHAT you sell/ship. If you are selling/shipping items that are considered 'cheaply made' etc., then buyers have the RIGHT to TELL Others to 'Stay Away' from you because of what YOU sell, even if you refund them.
After all, you tied up their money for weeks and when a buyer buys something, they are typically excited about what they bought, and when they are disappointed, it's On You.
It is NOT up to you to decide how the general public SHOULD react- it is up to the General Public.
biscuitandgravy
OP2 years agoYou sure contradict yourself,,I looked at your feedback..You said they got what was pictured..Same with the Cameras..They should not have bought a cheap camera..Do you expect a New in Box $25.00 hunting camera to be great quality?
biscuitandgravy
OP2 years agoI never give a hard time I just refund it,But if they don't even email before giving a Bad review..What can you do..ebay should require a buyer contact the seller first before giving a Bad Review.
robbie31415
·2 years agoI don't get why people think just because you refunded the order that should block negative feedback.
Ebay was far too liberal with feedback removal.
If you gave someone a negative experience then they should be able to report it as seller feedback.
biscuitandgravy
OP2 years agoDo you even sale.If you don't you have no clue.As a seller we cannot even give a Bad review for a deadbeat buyer..I just had someone that wanted to cancel because they said they used the wrong payment..So I let them.Than they wrote me and said they still wanted...But it's been 4 days now I haven't heard from them.

Did you create a new listing for them to buy? They can’t buy from the original listing.
Did you send them a message saying you have it relisted for them?
Either way, they are not obligated to buy it again.
atlasesattic
·2 years agoWhy is it a negative experience? They got there money back, so who won in this deal, surely wasn't the seller.
frugalmarketplace
·2 years ago@atlasesattic
Because it is about the experience the buyer had was negative.
kensgiftshop
·2 years agoRefunding and letting them keep the item doesn't really make their buying experience any better, so why shouldn't they be able to leave negative feedback.
biscuitandgravy
OP2 years agoDo you actually even sale on ebay..If you did you would understand more.
kensgiftshop
·2 years agoYes, I've sold on here and I understand, from both sides.
biscuitandgravy
OP2 years agoIt's getting a lot worse..I would not recommend anyone right now to sale on ebay..If I didn't have Probably $350K or more in inventory I would quit right now. When you get returns of a empty Box and so on and ebay will not do nothing about it,That's sad..$150 down the drain.
kensgiftshop
·2 years agoIt is and I don't see it getting much better anytime soon.
It's not just Ebay, I think all sites have their share of bad buyers/sellers and scammers.
Sellers have to decide if it's worth trying to sell online.
bgt_masters_of_tiki_d
·2 years agoI'm not trying to be THAT guy (my grammar is far from perfect) but I will be. Its sell. "Do you actually even SELL on ebay?" You have things for sale on ebay. You don't sale them on ebay. You sell them on ebay or have them for sale on ebay. Unless ebay is a literal body of water and you meant to type sail. Then trim the jib and sail away. (I type this in jest so don't take it too seriously.)
As for your post. Its simple, ebay doesn't care about our feedback. I recently had a buyer leave a negative 30 days after purchase because they broke the item trying to take it apart. I had video of me testing the item minutes before I packaged it up and ebay requested I send them the video through email. I did, and though it was confirmed it was not my fault, the negative stays. I even copied and pasted directly from their policy a section of it being out of my control being eligible for removal and they just ignored me after that.
Its all supply and demand. They don't need sellers as much as they need buyers. Sellers, in particular smaller ones, aren't worth their time. Every single seller that posts on this board could magically stop selling and they wouldn't notice.
frugalmarketplace
·2 years ago@biscuitandgravy Hi, I was looking at your feedback. The one buyer this month said he didn’t get the camera he purchased. , is that true?
Honestly I think you have some upset customers. Your response wasn’t very empathetic. It is never too late to go back and fix these things.
Look at what your response was to a neutral. "This is So Funny..I would not sale to them or Buy From Them...Picky picky picky..on a fishing Bobber that they paid $2.50 for.Itwas new but was not sparkling white..If it was Clothing I could see it..But this is so Funny and the Buyer is So .Hilarious..Click on there Name and hit Block you are done. The got a compete refund and a item that they will use..Sorry but they must need the money and should have never bought it.â€.
That was not very professional of you.
P.S This seems to be a problem in the way you respond to your customers after reading all of the negatives and neutrals. It appears to me that you need to work on communicating with them. People are pretty understanding if you resolve any issues.
Additionally I think the statement that your business supports out of state hospital visits should be removed. I know if I see any type of those comments, I will move on, and not purchaseâ€. Just a suggestion. Good luck.
biscuitandgravy
OP2 years agoBut that is true it supports out of state medical treatment..If I see that from a seller that's who I would buy from.I refunded them about the bobbers also. The just wasn't perfectly white..you can even buy yellow ones.I sent the correct camera showing on the box..he just mad because they are not great quality. They should have known they were made in China.I know it doesn't matter.but the buyer is from Bosnia. The game was tested and worked perfect also I always send emails and see if they will change things. In 24 yrs of selling with 2 accounts I have got more neutrals and negatives in the past 2 months then in selling over 10,000 items.I even gave the buyer a discount that bought the cameras before shipping.Because he asked me to,So I did.
I just think it's so easy for them to hit the negative this day and time..Ebay use would take it off.but it goes to some offline outfit now.

You are not doing your job. I know I am being hash, but listen to yourself. You think your business practices are okay and everyone else is wrong.
As far as medical bills that doesn’t belong on a business. Everyone has issues of some kind or another and your job as a seller is to be professional and unfortunately in my opinion that in inappropriate.

OP2 years agoRead my other thread..about how I treat a buyer.I rollover backwards for my customers.

OP2 years agoAlso what is the difference in ebay having charities up and me.I have few sales up going to St,Judes..You must not have much of a heart..Right now my wife is dying and my Daughter in - Law that is just 32 yrs old has stage 3 Cancer.

Your comment “you don’t have a heart†isn’t true, and I don’t advertise my personal life anywhere. Business is business, and maybe you should take a break from selling as every response on this board and in your feedback is highly defensive.

·2 years agoSending love,,,I hope your husband is getting better, and I am also experience the terrible feedback system myself, they don't remove negative feedback nowadays, as you said they outsourced the feedback to other company, and they don't even care about seller nowadays.
