Need refund to go to a different card
Hi the seller I bought from does not offer a refund except to the card I purchased their product from. But I do not have access to that card anymore so I need my refund to go to a different sorce. The debit card still exist I just no longer speak to the person who owns the card. Can I have my refund sent somewhere else? I contacted the seller and they only offer refund to the payment method used & they told me to contact ebay.

·1 week agoDo I understand this correctly....you "bought" something using someone else's debit card...which I think means they/someone else bought the item....but you want the return credit to go to you? Shouldn't the person who's owns the debit card get the credit? What you are actually wanting to do is a form of money laundering, if I understand you post

·2 weeks ago@nicquebe-28 This is not a choice the seller can make. Ebay is the money processor and they are required to refund the funding source on the original transaction only or supply a gift card. There are no options beyond that and the seller has no control over any of it.

·2 weeks agoThere is an option for a faster eBay credit vs the refund going to the payment source. I’m not sure if that is for each and every return, but seems to me that I’ve been offered it the past few times that I needed to return something. With that credit, you can use those funds for another eBay purchase.

·2 weeks agoIt is just an option that I have received the last few times I’ve done a return. Going through the process they will offer to you a refund to your payment source or an instant electronic gift card or credit to use. I’ve never taken it – I’ve never needed to.

·2 weeks agoFor everyone's protection refunds must go to the original payment source. You will need to work out something with the holder of that original payment source.
