Mistaken return description means that I have to pay shipping when that is for the seller to pay
I bought a Japanese kimono that is absolutely not an XL as the item’s specifics state. I only had that to go on because seller did not mention size in the description. So, to return it, I chose does not fit instead of not as described. My bad… A small mistake. But it’s a really big one because eBay seems to have no ability, as a claims representative said, to change the status of the return.

·9 months agoYes, the 'does not fit' is considered a remorse return, and if the seller states no returns on the item, that will close the case.

·9 months agoThe Vintage Hanten Kimono you bought on 12/27?
Listing says XL. All Tags are in Japanese.
But, Seller did include all pertinent measurements.
If it was that one, then that's on you. You didn't decipher the Japanese tags, and you bought with clear measurements included in the listing.
If not this one, I believe it is, then give us Listing Number.

·9 months agoRight, they can't change the reason for the return.
Years ago, CS could change the reason, but not any more.

OP9 months agoThat is garbage infrastructure, for a company as large as it is, that charges usury rates to sellers. All the money in the world and can’t engineer a simple software change at the claims level. Maybe tier 2 or tier 3 has got it, but the representative gave me finality about it. That is totally wrong, and I’m ready to leave eBay because it’s just spun into
