Missing Items from packages as a seller / what to do ?
Summary: floridaisbettercollectibles discussed an issue with selling Disney cards on eBay, where four packages were tampered with, resulting in empty deliveries to buyers. The seller filed a police report and is seeking advice on whether there is any protection for sellers in such situations, as buyers are covered by eBay's guarantee. They also mentioned similar incidents on another platform, raising concerns about seller protection.
I sold about 100+ Disney cards on ebay in the last month. 96 arrived perfect.
The last 4 packages, all shipped the same day and dropped off at a specific location,
where received by 4 different buyers with the packages cut on top and resealed (so empty).
I filed a police report this morning on this and they have a case going.
I understand as a buyer they are protected by ebay from "guarantee" if the item is not received.
My question is as a seller is there any protection for me.
I also sell on whatnot and have had this happen twice (in about 200) and they assume that if happens.

·1 month agoNo, the seller has no protection from Ebay.
Refund the buyers and file a claim with the carrier.
